Гра безкоштовна, але я всерівно донатив на батлпаси, дота плюси, торгову площадку... А ну да, вона мене затянула можливість нафармити речі і продавати їх на площадці. Але це було до 2016го року. Зараз отримати річ для продажі після гри неможливо. Рольовий рейтинг, рівень порядочності, кастомки — гра оживає іншими красками. Да йомайо, Валве вернули ДайрТайд. За це можна підняти оцінку з 5 до 6 балів.… Expand

Let's not speak about the graphics and their ancient engine(which is used at most of their games), even though they are making millions of dollars(curiously, it makes you wonder where are all those money going, maybe into the company owner's stomach? I know it's a lot of place in there and there's still more room) from it, they are still using the same crap. And, trolls, oh boy, a lot of trolls! It ricks of it. Sadly, the volvo company put their hands on this great game idea. Community is trash, I feel like any hero can take any position and be successful. Crystal maiden with an attack speed talent on 25 lvl? For what? It is a support hero not a carry. I tried to get back into it but they introduced new item drops from jungle creeps which means I have to le-learn the game again and again. Giving it a 6 because it was really big game at the beginning but as HotS was released with a talent tree - Dota just had to own it too. But why? Is it not better to stay unique? Starting to question the quality of american game developers. Edit: December Hoodwink update - Game overloaded with **** even more, many heroes overtuned, aghanim shards for every hero, the game should now be named league of ancients.… Expand

As a beginner you will get overinformed. Unfortunately the tutorial is too short, maybe 15 minutes long and you still dont know how to use the courier, how to build a strategies for your heroes and so on. Positively you can say, the game is complex and you need a lot of time to get into it and understand every detail, what is necessary, because your enemies know them. So this is another aspect of the game: in the beginning you will die very often, what is frustrating. I would like to know, how the match making is programmed, I saw only few newbies in my games. One last thing I dont like in this game: the camera is too near to the heroes and it lacks good overview. This was a nightmare already in Warcraft 3, here it is better, but still a problem.

Enough of negative aspects, this game is surely very good. There are a over 100 heroes and many items to build up a strategy. You have only 4 abilities, so this is not so complex. And there is only 1 map (why?). So you need to focus on your hero and which item to buy, but this is enough to spend hours building a hero and there are many of them.
The community? In average I had 1 idiot every 10 games. The best thing you can do is to ignore such kids and report them.
I wrote about E-Sport already: This part is very well implemented: you can watch replays from tournaments live or download them. The replays are perfect, because you have so many possibilities there. It is a big entertainment.… Expand

The rules keep changing, the patches change the game every time, unbalanced heroes are released frequently, etc. It has so many layers of complexity that boggles the mind, nobody, not even icefrog (the main designer) understand the implications of their changes, so Valve uses their user base to balance things out. But that is not the problem, the real problem is that for you to enjoy this game, you will need to find 10 real friends to play it properly and balance your matches. The online community is so full of toxic people, smurfs and just grieving people that make the whole matchmaking affair a walk on hell. Valve does little to control this. If you are of the competitive type, chances are that you would find very hard to climb the MMR ladder with all the cheaters and smurfs and just toxic people ruining games every time.… Expand

After years, it is turned into a china colorful circus. Not so far from LOL. All is schematized, predictable and gameplay is alot about farming. Fighting is more similar to LOL. More burst, heroes with more active spells (Drow Ranger, Bloodseeker, Dazzle, Crobelus etc.), in general, more quicker gameplay like "competitive" scene need and wanted, especially china "competitive" scene.
Community around game is snobbish and arrogant, convinced of their perfection because they play DOTA2. Because it is DOTA - hard and elite. DOTA2 is far easier than DOTA. DOTA+ is pay-to-play program. Which gives those paying "clients" what they deserve. Backslapping games full of "owning" those players, which aren't so good. To boost their ego. There is no reason to waste time with this "****" of #GabeNewellMore.
Even if STEAM users are pushed and having this garbage at their accounts infinitely.

The game as of this writing is pretty good. It's FREE. You can pay for things that are purely cosmetic. It's not as straight forward as LoLThe game as of this writing is pretty good. It's FREE. The learning curve is steep, but there's a huge amount of strategy to utilize if you can get into it. The game also makes for a great way to connect with friends. The only issue I have is that some time ago, for practice/fun, you could make uneven personal lobbies (e.g. you vs a team of three bots) and have a blast in your own way. But as of now, that's no longer posssible, where all empty slots get filled. But meh, the game itself is still fun. It is always the same loop of play, but oddly that's part of the fun, is mastering the characters you like to play as. I also dig the more serious/realistic approach to the way graphics are rendered, as compared to LoL, where in that it all feels cartoony.

В своё время я играл в неё постоянно, мне не нужно было ничего, я просто играл в неё бессознательно, потому что хотел. Время шло, выходили новые обновления, новые герои, новые предметы и в один день она просто начала вызывать отвращение, я бросил её и ни о чём не жалею.
В честь былых воспоминаний поставлю 7/10.… Expand

Первый из очевидных минусов - это плохая работа игровых серверов и клиента. Постоянно происходят разные отрубания от сервера, ошибки. До покупки SSD игровой кэш прогружался перед первой картой вплоть до пяти минут. Одна из причин - растущий день ото дня список из отвратных косметических предметов.

Второй минус - это сомнительный баланс. Многих героев с переменной частотой смешивают с дерьмом. И самое возмутительное - то, что здесь хорошая игра и победа идут вразрез. Блядская мета с героями, которые выиграют тебе игру если ты их пикнешь. То есть тут побеждает не тот, кто выкладывается на максимум на подходящем герое, а тот, кто взял метового говномеса и делает всё по инструкции, придуманной кем-то совершенно нездоровым.

Третий минус. Матчмейкинг и не работающая система наказаний. В подборе игр участвует множество негласных переменных. Кроме рейтинга порядочности, о участии которого в подборе гадские разрабы ДО ПОСЛЕДНЕГО скрывали, в игре есть скрытый рейтинг. Тот, по которому подбираются игры в обычном и турбо-режиме, но который ПОЧЕМУ—ТО также учитывается при подборе рейтинговых игр. Сука, да это, блять, гениально! Просто понижаем последний винрейт в не-рейтинговых играх, а потом отбиваем его в рейтинге. Я так с рыцаря до легенды доабузил, правда после такого всё дольше и дольше ищет игру.

В игре невообразимый для обычного игрока входной порог. Чтобы немножко, на базовом уровне научиться играть в эту игру, нужно провести в ней от 1000 часов чистого времени. И планка постоянно растёт, уровень игры на 5000 ММР в 2014 это примерно 3000 ММР сейчас, в 2018. Вдобавок к этому игра очень жёстко наказывает за ошибки, из-за чего игрок проигрывающей стороны может в итоге до 20 минут за игру (игра - 45 минут) просидеть "в таверне", беспомощно наблюдая как падает его база. А если в начале игры тебя или твоего тиммейта убили пару раз, ты будешь ощущать это на себе ВСЮ ОСТАВШУЮСЯ ИГРУ. А матчи в этой игре длятся в среднем от 20 до 90 минут. И всё это время ты будешь жалеть, что вообще начал.

Резюмируя всё вышесказанное, Dota 2 — игра с худшими левацкими идеями, перенесёнными в игровые механики. Финальная оценка - 0/10.… Expand

However, instead of tormenting the other team these 'friends' just decide to rail on one another until each 'friend' has to quietly put themselves into offline mode before playing any game on steam.

Honestly though, contrary to popular opinion DotA is a very fun game. It is just not a fun game for stupid people or people that are not willing to take some time to learn the game. This game will not spoonfeed you on how to play, nor will it easily allow you to catch up if you make mistakes. Like in the real world if you make mistakes in battle you will suffer.

A few tips:
Try to keep a level head, and bonus points for a positive attitude. Your team will appreciate it a lot, and they will be more willing to work with you.
Pay attention to the map, your surroundings, and your enemies items.
Read your abilities carefully, read the patch notes, read the items abilities.
Practice heroes in demo mode (this is different from bot practice or private lobby.)
Get yourself a mic. Effective communication is one of your biggest utilities.
If a hero that is in your lane goes missing call missing immediately. Better safe than sorry.
Buy wards. Wards might typically be a supports 'job', but they will save your life and get you kills, which will easily make up for the gold cost. Also, your team will appreciate you that much more, which will result in them being much more likely to try to help you out and listen to you.
Use your scan. I find that this tool is way overlooked. At least in my bracket. It's up every 5 minutes, and it can only help (if not to tell you where someone is; it will tell you where they are not.)
Nobody is good at DotA. There is always someone much better than you are. So do your best and try not to talk trash.
Treat this as a chance to develop team communication skills
Deny creeps as much as you can, but not at the sacrifice of missing a last hit.
Buy smoke before a gank or a Rosh kill. They are a cheap invaluable tool.
Verbally tell whomever you are around if you are planning on leaving them or TPing out.
Experiment with different items when you are fighting different types of heroes.
I say this last one with caution because it can hinder your ability to play the game normally, but try Turbo when you first start out. It will allow you to learn heroes more quickly.
Okay, actually this is my last point. Try to have fun. It is just a game.

An absolutely toxic community. Cheaters are in every second game. I don't even want to talk about feeders, underage ruiners and about the other stuff.

Some days ago I registered a new account, the conduct was more than 9k, it's like the maximum. And what this system did? Yes I started to play with Gabe's family. In every second game underage sh*t-eaters was feeding and harassing each other. It's on 9k of conduct, I can to remind, a lot of players they have not this kinda conduct.
After 25 games, I checked my new conduct, and try to guess.
Yeah, it's 5k. I muted the chat and haven't said a word, but I has been reported.
So well done.
If you think, it's an aggressive review, it is what you will find in the game. Much less, because every second monkey will ruin the match and they will say how they was having your mom.
So shove your fake reviews up your ass Gabe.
Don't install and do not even try to purchase anything from dota in-game shop.… Expand

And i did pretty good i outplayed the new players like me but the spells are just flying long AF i dont have nerves for it. As some guy wrote before me owning people doesnt feel good and thats a HUGE problem for me.

This game is too old school for multi-player competitive game. I just give it 4 points for its game-models which fans can create and its legendary status. Undeserved.… Expand

Графически очень проработанная игра с чётко прорисованными героями, текстурами карты со всем её вытекающим наполнением. Геймплей игры завязывается на добиваниях крипов, убийстве героев соперников и основной цели - уничтожения трона врагов. Персонажей много, каждый имеет собственные уникальные механики, в комбинациях между которыми можно не только успешно провести файт(драку), но и насладится красочным визуальным представлением. Для игроков нашедших игру интересной, есть рейтинговый матчмейкинг где можно повышать свой уровень игры и подниматься по рейтингу к более сильным игрокам. Если достичь определенного высокого рейтинга, есть шанс попасться на глаза к профессиональным командам и связать отрезок своей жизни с киберспортом. Дота является самой высокооплачиваемой игрой среди киберспортивных дисциплин, благодаря чему имеет высокий интерес среди молодежи желающей зарабатывать деньги играя.

They constantly release patches which only contain hats, they don't even pay enough attention to the game to release annual holiday patches. For example they completely forgot about Halloween in Dota 2 while adding Halloween content in Tf2 and CS:GO. Overall the Dota game in Wc3 is a masterpiece but Dota 2 is a garbage can due to Valves apathetic development. They are only making this game to milk people for money by adding hats and tickets.

I hoped this game would get me really hooked up for a long long time but for my surprise when I was going to play my first match I discovered that the community is really unsupportive not beginner-friendly I just need 3 words to describe this game WORST COMUNNITY EVER… Expand
