With interesting plot threads to discover, beautiful locations to traverse, and powerful equipment to loot, there’s plenty on offer in Jaws of Hakkon—it’s a valuable addition to what was already a worthwhile
BioWare has simply significantly increased the level of hitpoints on them all (a powerful Ogre has as much health as one of the first dragons in the core game) and at times that means many engagements turn into simple slugfests, with the player party and the enemies trading blows with limited tactical input until one of them losses all health.

Any DLC that let's me hang out with Scout Harding is well worth it. I got 15 hours off of my first time playing JoH, and since I have several dozen other characters I would say it was a good investment.

Thoroughly enjoyed this add on DLC. For 15$ I was able to get 6 hours of trekking through new terrain, interacting with the Avvar, and catching up with scout Harding. While nothing really new in the way of a overall story arc, and it feels to me this was left out at the time of shipping and then added on as a DLC later is a little annoying, but as the first add on adventure it's a worth while buy

Beautiful, well-written, and with an exciting finish, this is a strong start for Inquisition DLC.
Jaws of Hakkon is a good start for Inquisition's DLCs, though Bioware could definitely do more. If you loved the formula of the original game, this addition will offer a new and interesting questline, extensive and inspired locations, a little extra loot and valuable information in terms of lore.
It’s hard to fully recommend Jaws of Hakkon when it feels so non-essential. There were no unique must-have experiences tucked away within the DLC that would warrant a purchase at $15. If you’re looking for more of the same, you got it.
Though I wish that Jaws of Hakkon was less bloated, and though I miss the cinematic flair of the rest of Dragon Age: Inquisition, I know that in a month I'll have forgotten these quibbles. Instead, I'll remember my time spent in Frostback Basin fondly. I'll remember the sharp wit of Svarah Sun-Hair, the leader of the local Avvar clan.
After having spent over 80 hours with Inquisition I was tired of it and Jaws of Hakkon did absolutely nothing to reignite the flame. [06/2015, p.57]
Best way I can sum up Jaws of Hakkon is that it's more Dragon Age: Inquisition. And whether that is a good thing or a bad thing depends on how you felt about the base game.
It's a fairly solid DLC, for what it's worth, with a good amount of content and a new location, along with new items and crafting plans. It's an end-game DLC, with the recommended level for it being about level 20, at least in the save I loaded it in. Doesn't push the boundaries much, but it sets a good tone for the DLC for Inquisiton, and one can only hope future DLC is even better.

This is quite a large area. I needed about 8 hours for it. The nature and the lighting in this area are dreamy and beautiful.
There are some big bosses and the plot is "ok", maybe a bit lackluster. The companions talk more to each other which is good.
But all in all, the quests are better than in the main game but still a bit weak.
After all I had some fun.

Jaws of Hakkon is essentially the addition of another hub to the main game. While a few new characters are introduced, the game couldn't make me care enough about them to warrant a huge emotional investment. By the end of the DLC, there isn't even a particularly satisfying conclusion. No final cutscene, no epic speech, just a greyed out quest line indicating that "yep, you've finished. Now move on." Compared to the other hubs in the main game, the Frostback Basins is probably one of the more aesthetically pleasing ones, but as a DLC, the Jaws of Hakkon is somewhat underwhelming. It can be summed up as just another hub with it's own inclusive but tangential storyline.

This is everything a paid DLC should NOT be. What it offers us is one new zone, that is really no more interesting than the zones currently in the game. And actually less so, because at least the zones that came with the game were integrated with the main plot. In the past BioWare DLCs and expansions have had *higher* quality maps, a tighter story, more character interaction, and so on than the originally packaged game. Jaws of Hakkon was more like, hey, you threw down $60 for this game that you've already burned through, why not throw down another $15 to keep playing a few more hours? The most depressing thing to me is that if BioWare can sell this junk for as much as they've ever charged for DLC, can we really expect them to make a real story-centered expansion later?

In General, never DLC. Not worth not money, not time. One location, which is torn from the main game, one dragon (again), not an interesting storyline, again collecting fragments and constantly had to look for a path to go to the right place.
Вообще не разу не DLC. Не стоит не денег, не времени. Одна локация, которая вырвана из основной игры, один дракон (опять), не интересное сюжетная ветка, снова сбор осколков и постоянно приходилось искать тропу чтобы пройти в нужному месту.
