The Dream experience is certainly a positive one, and definitely succeeds in recreating the surreal and intriguing nature of actual dreams.
A solid entry into the exploration genre, but a couple of minor niggles stop it being a classic
Dream is one of those games where you're supposed to enjoy the universe the team has created. If you're looking for this kind of "experience", it might be the right choice.
A half-success experiment, Dream is the first videogame from English software house Hypersloth.
Dream is ambitious, but players will need to be persistent and forgiving to enjoy what it has to offer them. [Issue#166, p.98]
A disappointment developed by amateurs who were unable to utilize capabilities of Unreal Engine 4 and I presume chose the dream setting to avoid writing a coherent story. [11/2015, p.41]
The highly unpolished Dream tries to straddle the line between a puzzle-solving and exploration game, but ultimately doesn’t succeed at either.
