The last great human settlement exists within an unforgiving, infected world, plunged into a modern dark age. During the day, bandits, factions and starving survivors roam the streets scavenging for scraps - or someone to take them from, by violence if necessary. At night the infected roam free, evacuating their dark hideouts to prey on the living. You are Aiden Caldwell, an infected survivor. Your exceptional agility and brutal combat skills make you a powerful ally and a valuable commodity in this dangerous world. You can achieve things no one else can. Enter places no one else dares. With your unique abilities you have the power to be an agent of change within this decaying metropolis.

    YOUR CHOICES, YOUR WORLD
You must make tough decisions and hard sacrifices as you decide the fate of a society on the brink of collapse. The effect of the choices you make will have a huge impact on entire regions of the city, uncovering new land masses and areas to explore. Play the entire campaign in up to four-player co-op. Host your own games or join other players' and see how their choices have played out differently to your own.

    EXCEPTIONAL AGILITY AND BRUTAL COMBAT
On your journey from humble beginnings to a person of great power, you have unprecedented freedom of movement across the city, seamlessly integrated with brutal first person combat.

    A MODERN DARK AGE
In a desperate city, where resources and power are scarce, unstable, and trust in ruling bodies is all but eroded; humankind has reverted to a dark age. Civilization is gone but the relics are still there. This is a violent, primal & unforgiving world - and so are its inhabitants.

    THE INFECTION HAS EVOLVED
The infection has evolved and become more sensitive to UV light. Society exists in the relative safety of sunlight, while the infected hide in the shadows of buildings. At night the infected roam the streets freely searching for prey, presenting opportunities for you to explore areas of the city inaccessible by day.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human is a great sequel to a pretty good game. With fun traversal mechanics, combat encounters, and agonising choices in the story, it could be very much worth the playtime.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human is a more than worthy follow up and worth the wait. Whilst not necessarily reinventing the wheel, it excels in being one of the best versions of the open-world formula we've known for some time. With silky-smooth parkour and combat mechanics, and plenty of things to see and do, I highly recommend the plunge into The City. Where there's slight polishing to still be done and the story at times leaves a bit to be desired, shining moments and performances make it all the more worthwhile, standing as a stronger entry than its predecessor. This has become my favourite free roam zombie game to date and has me constantly itching to jump back in and tool around some more in its playground. Not bloody bad, Techland.
  3. Dying Light 2 has managed to be a very good sequel with its choices that determine the course of the story, new character features and its great open world where you can spend a long time in it.

Gamer is more than plentiful these days with all types of genres ranging from first-person shooters, MMO’s, and every game/movie adaption you can shake a stick at. It is nice to see a Gem among them shine so brightly. This title features a bit of everything I have come to admire about other games and rolled into a creepy yet satisfying game. Dying Light 2 Staying Human has earned the title of the favorite game of 2022 at this time.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human is a title that struggles to bear the weight of its ambitions, as a result of a development path that in all probability proved to be more bumpy than expected.

Dying Light 2 exchanges simplicity for scale but it is still a decent sequel. The parkour movement and combat are both excellent, but the poor story, simplified night gameplay, and broken co-op mean this is not the best zombie game from Techland.

Despite all my complaints, I initially had fun with Dying Light 2. The first quarter of the game was engaging. I think if the rest of the game played like this, I would have way more positive things to say, but the fact is that it’s just not done. This is clearly an unfinished game mired in mismanagement. I don’t blame the developers at all; the leaders and executives behind this work are responsible. What works here is clean and well done, albeit with some boring AAA niceties. After the first quarter or so, though, the game absolutely falls apart in almost every respect. I’m sad for what was produced here, but if I’m being honest, I’m more sad that I invested nearly thirty hours of my own time into this. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

How sad it is to watch that the game is being scolded for the fact that it lags or does not start at all. Apparently, many people do not knowHow sad it is to watch that the game is being scolded for the fact that it lags or does not start at all. Apparently, many people do not know that they need to look at the system requirements before buying. If we talk about the game itself, the graphics were unusual to me and partly soapy, but all this is solved by the settings inside the game itself. There are a lot of interesting places in the world where you can find a variety of loot and it was very interesting for me to go into different buildings and other enclosed spaces in order to just climb there. The action is unusual, and there are all sorts of problems due to bugs, but let's hope that it will be fixed soon.

I agree, in this form at the moment, the game does not deserve 10/10, but I put such an assessment in order to somehow deal with whiners who do not know how to read system requirements or cannot run the game at all on their "calculators".

I was a big fan of Dying light 1 and Dying Light 2 does not disappoint. My immediate impressions of the game: gorgeous, cutting edge visuals. Huge improvement over Dying Light 2 but super taxing on the hardware. Nvidia 3060 and up is a must to experience the game in all its glory. Ray tracing is not a gimmick and it does deliver meaningful visual improvements in this game. So far the game is similar to Dying Light 1 in terms of exploration and combat. Zombies encounters are awesome so far. I love audio and music in the game. This game is nothing like Cyberpunk in terms of glitches when that game got released. There is nothing major to report. This game is definitely released in much more polished state. I cannot wait to sink in hours upon hours in this title. I highly recommended. I was lucky to save Epic Games coupon for Dying Light and saved $10 on this brand new release. 2022 started on a great note with this game. Thanks Techland for delivering awesome game to us and thank you Epic Games for releasing the game on day one and letting us use vouchers on brand new releases. Expand

If you told me this was made by people who previously worked at Ubisoft and CD Project Red - I wouldnt be surprised.
This is copy/paste all over the damn place, its climb tower puzzles to unlock areas and its 100s of apartement blocks, all alike that you need to traverse to loot stuff.
Everything but the main quest just seems like it was written and performed by children which breaks the immersion so much.
Even in the first "tutorial" part of the game - you meet a guy, talk to him - follow him into the next room and he suddenly says: "im going to leave you now, cause someone said to me, if you think someone is suspicious, you must leave them"... he then enters the next room and you both carry on like nothing happened... WTF.

The combat is boring, its swing light attacks - unlock heavy attacks later on - they did try to spice it up with parkour attacks, but you have to block the attacks the perfect time - so all youre doing is waiting for that to happen and then get a few kicks in before youre back to blocking and tapping left mouse.
I loved the first game, but I struggle to see both how this game is in any way an improvement - and how they have worked on it for so long.
Ubisoft pumps **** like this out every year, its the same thing. Copy paste buildings and events and a world that feels dead around those "events"

This is plenty reason to never buy this game in my books, but if you need more, oh boy I have more:
-The game crashed after 3 minutes of playing, while I was changing some settings in the menus
-The menus are SO CLUNKY, feels like a game from 15 years ago, in fact I've played games from 15 years ago with menus that work better
-Doesn't have proper ultrawide support, since they add blackbars on cutscenes for...reasons?
Besides these things that I could verify myself after just 20 minutes of "playing" the game, there's all the complaints made by other people that actually finished the game (ah, the brave ones), such as weak story and bad dialogue. Do not buy this game.
