    The game engine is just getting a bit long in the tooth. In any case, with what’s shaping up to be one of the best Formula 1 seasons in years, there’s never been a better time to get into motorsports and the best place to start might just be F1 22.

    Although slightly saddened by the omission of a story mode this time around, it’s more than made up for by the new vehicle physics. The concern of “F1 Life” having any bearing on gameplay being quashed makes F1 22 another flying lap for Codemasters.

    F1 22 isn’t an exceptional entry in the series, but Codemasters has once again refined its winning sim racing formula and implemented immersive features that every type of player can enjoy. Career Mode is extra exciting thanks to some clever AI tweaks, making F1 22 the closest fans can get to being in the cockpit without any of the mortal danger. Development of systems in between races also helps you feel some of the chaos and elation of real Formula 1 racing, with the stellar graphics and sound design delivering a palpable atmosphere that is augmented by the haptics of the DualSense in your palms.

When will they put a radar in this game so we can see cars around us? Surely adding that would have involved a tenth of the effort that the truly awful F1 Life involved?… Expand

    If you buy it on origin there is one or two players in online games. With the latest update to the game it crashes every single time you search for an online session.

    Unnecessary micro transactions leave a sour taste… the AI although an improvement over the last game is still a mess, so both playing offline and on when you do happen to find a race is not worth the time.

    I’ve put in over 400 hours in he last two games and the same problems that plagued those games are still very much here… a game full of potential as the driving model is fantastic but the bugs and lack of a stable online structure will leave you bored and frustrated very quickly.

    Another fine EA product… it’s as if Facebook made the game.    … Expand

    When game came out, at Baku circuit the game is run on slow fps by comparison on other tracks. Alright, its acceptable. But right **** now racing at Baku is impossible.

    Price? Don't even get into that subject. This is the last F1 game that i bought. Great job EA. You destroyed everyting that good in two years for F1 fans.    … Expand

No classic cars, inaccurate circuits laughable sound design - the cars sounds like playback on a mobile phone speaker. I said to myself if it's crap this year I'm not buying any more. Safe to say this is the last money I'm giving Codemasters and EA.

    Also its nice to see all the degenerate "game reviewers" giving this game an 80. **** disgusting paid off lying little ****    … Expand
