The game is structured in a different way, leaving way less space in crafting compare to minecraft, the ebsential to survive and explore the depths, and here comes the challenging part, because surviving to predators and gathering rare resources is not easy as far as you go deeper, making it a unique experience. I'm lovin it right now, played for approx. 10 hours, i'm really looking forward to complete this game.… Expand

The fact that it seems so much likeI picked up this game in a Humble Bundle, and after five minutes I assumed it was just a Minecraft clone. The fact that it seems so much like Minecraft at first is probably the reason this game has gotten some mixed reviews, but I think that if you go into the game knowing what it really is, than you'll get a great experience.
What it is is a game about being alone on the ocean floor. There are no other humans, just creatures, some of which you can eat, and others of which want to eat you. The entire game was both serene and nerve-wracking, as I spent much of my time treading the ocean floor and enjoying the gorgeous visuals and music, but wondering if a shark was suddenly going to attack me out of nowhere.
I think it's also important to go into this game knowing that it's an indie title. Both the visuals and the mechanics are pretty bare bones, but I personally think that works in the game's favor. Nothing was ever too complicated and I didn't break up my game time running to the wiki or figuring out how things fit together. Everything is simple, which gave me the freedom to spend my time wandering and enjoying the game's atmosphere, which is the area where it shines.
Overall, I loved this game. The building and crafting aren't as sophisticated as Minecraft, but if those are the things you're looking for then you should just go and play Minecraft. If you want a great atmosphere, brutal survival mechanics and to know what it's like to wander alone at the bottom of the ocean, play this game, now.… Expand

IWhile this game might seem graphically not top of the list, it is by far the most appealing game graphically I have seen for a while now. I have stopped playing both DayZ and Chivalry: Medieval Warfare because I enjoy this game so much.
This game is low on content and the story might be short as well, but if you don't try to complete this game in 5 minutes and actually play it, you will enjoy it and it will keep you busy for quite some time.
I am currently playing for 4 hours on the same adventure mode which is the basic game type and when I decide to actually finish it(I can probably finish it in the next 5-10 minutes) I will move to Survival Mode and maybe Sandbox mode.
I suggest you buy the game, it is totally worth the $15 especially if/ when more content is added(You need to keep in mind that this game was developed by one person only).… Expand

Probably non-minecraft players may find it interesting, but if you're going to buy it at full price, go buy minecraft anyway instead.
What this game lacks the most is modification of the landscape. You cannot build anything outside your base and also you cannot modify the environment around you (digging holes, setting up barriers, etc); since that was mostly the fun part in minecraft, well, this game lacks fun.… Expand
