    These hitches aside, Fashion Police Squad is a fun and imaginative twist on classic shooter design. While not quite on the same level as the best FPS throwbacks, the likes of Dusk and Amid Evil, it does more than enough that’s different and eye-catching to earn its place on the catwalk.

    A tremendously fun FPS with a quirky and creative presentation, Fashion Squad Police is packed with fast-paced and surprisingly deep non-violent action. A couple of difficulty spikes and occasionally frustrating encounters smudge a slight stain on its beaming overalls, but they’re more a water mark than a red wine stain. Grab your dapper sneakers, suit up your most glamourous get-up and start slapping the dull outta the unfashionable lot.

    Overall, this is a fun affair and an invigorating palate cleanser if you usually dwell in darker and more mature material. Also, this is a game you could play with the small fry that will only take five or six hours to complete. “Sew”, kick back, relax, and release your inner Austin Powers and have at it, with the Fashion Police Squad!

    All in all, Fashion Police Squad is a fairly humorous parody of internet and video game culture, wrapped up in an entertaining boomer shooter package. It confidently showcases smart game design knowledge with its sharp controls and engaging gameplay, but falters slightly in its lacklustre level layouts. Visually, the game is absolutely gorgeous, and the OST is chock full of upbeat and dance worthy tracks. In spite of its short runtime, the story is an amusing affair, though your enjoyment of it may vary depending on your comedic tastes. If you’re a fan of either 90s retro FPS titles, or games that don’t take themselves too seriously, then this would be one worth picking up on sale.

    Ultimately, I feel the biggest issue with Fashion Police Squad, aside from the premise, is the playability. While it's pleasing to look at and listen to, the aesthetics don't altogether save it. If you're especially familiar with first-person shooters, and looking for something a little different, this has potential to be a very fun purchase; especially if it's on sale.

    With excellent visuals and lots of creative, unique ideas, Fashion Police Squad could have easily been something special. If only it wasn't so needlessly aggravating, cramped, and tedious.

    Fans of ’90s-style retro-shooters might find Fashion Police Squad‘s offbeat and quirky approach to the genre to their liking, but there’s already a lot of stiff competition in the genre — it’s interesting, but flawed approach simply doesn’t measure up to the others already strutting on the catwalk.

    It is my utter pleasure and joy to be the first to post a review for this because by God is Fashion Police Squad good. It is damn good inIt is my utter pleasure and joy to be the first to post a review for this because by God is Fashion Police Squad good. It is damn good in fact. One of the most original games in the line up of Old School FPS homages that are popping up recently or Boomer Shooters as the kids call them these days. So, what makes Fashion Police Squad work? On to the review then:

    Pros:
    -The humor. I am a firm believer in the fact that if you're gonna go with a silly goofy over the top concept, the only way for it to work is to commit fully and completely to it. And boy oh boy does this game ever commit to it. Everything from the art style, to the enemies, the protagonist's clothes, the excellent writing, the weapon selection, everything is made to fit with the premise and concept and it works marvelously

    -The gameplay. It is old school doom mixed with Doom Eternal but more fabulous. One of the best things about the gameplay in my personal opinion is the enemy variety. Every single enemy has a different way you need to go about taking them down with different methods from your weapons. This means that you'll be switching weapons on the fly like a during firefights like a maniac and it is that element of added quick thinking and strategy that prevents the gameplay from getting too stale in its 8 hours

    Cons:
    - There were 2 game breaking bugs that made me crash but that is really about it

    What can i say, this is easily one of the better games i've played this year. It lured me in with its goofy concept and charm and made my stay with its exhilirating and varied gameplay. Kudos to the developers for sure    … Expand

    Perhaps the best game in the retro shooter genre, which, unlike some "Ion Fury", isn`t a thoroughbred copy of the old formula, but offers a lot of its own gaming solutions, but at the same time, it is lame in its main task.
