Feb 5, 2021Field of Glory II: Medieval is a great game for anyone who already has an interest in the genre or the historical period. The core concepts work well, the presentation does not get in the way of gameplay and the computer fights well. Byzantine has a great track record when it comes to delivering free patches and extra content for their titles. In the coming months, they will tweak the mechanics for the better and deliver more nations and army lists to improve variety.

Feb 4, 2021FoGII:M consistently creates memorable battlefield moments. Winning a critical melee that collapses an enemy line and turns the tide of battle. A cavalry charge that unexpectedly smashes through an enemy flank. On overzealous charge that ends up in the rear of the enemy’s lines, isolated and vulnerable. For those looking for a more strategic experience, FoGII:M will fall flat. If you want tactical battles or a digital tabletop miniatures experience than FoGII:M is for you. The only thing missing from this digital tabletop experience is painting your army.

Feb 19, 2021Have you ever wanted to lead your men into an actual medieval battle? Now’s your chance. Field of Glory II: Medieval is a chaotic melee with its own unique, unpredictable dynamism. It’s great, even if medieval warfare is slightly more monotonous than its ancient counterpart.

Feb 12, 2021Field of Glory II: Medieval is a fascinating more of the same for the ones who love tactical wargames.
-
Feb 7, 2021A nice, historically accurate and not too complex wargame. There is little truly new, if compared to the previous Field of Glory II, but the gameplay is solid and the medieval setting always fascinating.
-
Feb 4, 2021Field of Glory 2: Medieval is a solid new entry for the series, taking combat from antiquity and into the age of chivalry. The gameplay remains strong and complex with meaningful minor changes to authentically reflect the Medieval period. Though there are some modes of the game that could do with a significant rework, the game still offers plenty of strategic and tactical decision-making opportunities for budding commanders.
-
Feb 13, 2021A sophisticated game that allows for skilful tactics, albeit the tabletop mechanics remove realism.
-
Mar 23, 2021Overall Field of Glory II: Medieval offers just about everything one could ask for in a tabletop wargame simulation. The odd quirks and complexity are part of the charm for fans of the genre, although there’s little here to draw in fans who haven’t already become converts.

Feb 9, 2021Solid, yet clunkily presented wargame.
