Challenging but immaculately calibrated controls power an exciting and enormously rewarding sci-fi roguelike.

It’s a fun little shooter with some good replay value trying out different weapon configurations and finding all the blueprints. It’s a tad short for the price in terms of its main story, but the nature of the game means it’d be easy for 17-Bit to add extra content in the future to keep it fresh.

Galak-Z is clearly designed for players who enjoy a challenge, and it offers an impressive mix of frantic combat, long-term planning, tactical planning and anime-inspired looks that will appeal to a lot of fans of the rogue-like genre.

Galak-Z The Dimensional offers spectacular space fights with a satisfying roguelike experience. It is a pity the roguelike elements disappear more and more into the background when the game continues, and that the environment is the same everywhere, but other than that this is a good space experience.

Galak-Z is a spectacular and fun shooter that perfectly mimics the mecha anime genre. Conceived to be a tough roguelike challenge, the game delivers an interesting gameplay mix of spaceship and mech combat.

Despite my complaints, it's hard to deny the sheer thrill of The Void: careening through space, leaping over a giant bug, and firing my last missile into a group of pirates before I speed toward the mission's evacuation point. The expansion may take a less engaging approach to survival, but it's still a frantic, intricate display of movement and reaction. The Void attempts to break ground of its own, and in some ways, it has. But the end result is weaker than the foundation it's built upon.

It's not a "worst game ever" review but for me the experience it's just not enough to be a positive one.
Probably recommended to top-down shooter enthusiasts with few years on their shoulders.
