Garry's Mod is a physics sandbox. Unlike regular games there aren't any predefined aims or goals. We give you the tools and leave you to play.

You spawn objects and weld them together to create your own contraptions - whether that's a car, a rocket, a catapult or something that doesn't have a name yet - that's up to you.

If you're not too great at construction - don't worry! You can place a variety of characters in silly positions.

Name a game where you can take a Renamon, nail it to a barrel, turn the barrel into an improvised NASA reject, and launch it into the sky, and then make it explode with a gun from Half Life 2. You can't, can't you? Garry's Mod is ultimately 23,000 games in one, and all you need is a couple old Source games lying around on your hard drive. Simple, isn't it? Expand

The freedom of this game is more than Minecraft as there's always something new. You can run around killing hoards of headcrabs if you want to, or you can build a foldable base. 10/10. Tis amazing, and I hate giving tens, but it deserves it. Expand

So much stuff to do, build robots, make crazy awesome contraptions, and then, you can share them with the world! I can't name any other sandbox games like this. They also have awesome gamemodes too! Like trouble in terrorist town, prop hunt, deathmatch, hunger games, and SO much more! I wonder what this game will become in the future, so much awesome stuff to do. Garry's Mod is the ultimate game of ultimate history, it has many things in one game. Also don't forget its cost! Only 10 bucks for an awesome game like this!? No way, but you gotta believe it, because it's all true! Plus we have all the awesome maps by all the awesome people that are capable to do this!
Overall I can say Garry's Mod is the best sandbox game I've ever played.

Jarry's Modifications is a unique but fun spin on the sandbox genre. In a world where sandbox games are praised so heavily for being fun, noneJarry's Modifications is a unique but fun spin on the sandbox genre. In a world where sandbox games are praised so heavily for being fun, none of them are genuinely unique like Garry's Mod; when you boot up the game for the first time, the UI and menu screen is so clean and organized that you'll never be trying to find something on it, because it's right in your face. When you load into your first game and you try out all the different objects that you have in your large, yet confined, inventory you start playing around with the tool gun and adding loads of retarded objects that make your PC **** crash. "But, Mumkey", you might be saying, "My friends want to play; Can they?" Well, I'm happy to announce that indeed, you can invite your **** friends into your game! All you do is make sure you have the game settings screen on, set the max players to whatever number you need and then they can just join via Steam Overlay, it's. That. Easy.

Now, I've been talking about the actual game itself and what you get with the game but I haven't been talking about the actual MODS side of the game because, after all, you can't have a Harry's Modjificlations with-out the actual mods.

If you go on Steam Workshop and just look on the Garry's Mod page, you realize that this game probably has more mods than any other game of the sort! Each mod is made by a random-ass person that just wants more fun to the game and the best thing is... You can download them so YOU can play them yourself. If the title didn't **** give it away, Garry's Mod relies heavily on mods for a really good experience; for example, when you start the game the only objects you can use are some tables, chairs and probably some Half-Life and TF2 **** if you're rich enough to own those games. That's why the game relies so heavily on mods and community-created game modes, skins, objects, the list goes on and on and if you really want the full list, go on the Steam Workshop and look at it yourself because it really is a sight to behold.

Now, if you download a mod and go on in a game then you'll see that, depending on what you got, it'll be in the specific menu of the mod that it is. If you want your friends to play with you and use the same mod too, then they need the mod as well, or it'll just be replaced with a looming "Error" sign that haunts you for the rest of your dreams.

To be honest, that's all I can really say. It's not a story-driven game or a game that has really amazing mechanics, but instead, it's a game that you and your friends can be ****s on that has really fluent controls.

Okay. I've said enough and I'm really tired so I gotta go sleep back in my box in the street; Good Night. Oh, and by the way, eight-out-of-ten, a good-ass game.

I hate this game, So much f****** bull**** like technically problems, updates don't work no mod compatibility unless you bought the SteamI hate this game, So much f****** bull**** like technically problems, updates don't work no mod compatibility unless you bought the Steam version but dumb vehicles and lame npc's, Textures will not work and if you try to fix them by installing something it will crash the game seemingly on purpose for you. Horrible boring and limited experience for the base game. Also the game doesn't allow you to make unlimited amount of props and limits it to around 500 each something Mine craft manged to do without any problems.. Lame and bland starting weapons. Map issues and other reasons makes this "game" not worth the struggle and only an occasional play through if you are bored out of your mind! I have not experienced any unique fun with Gmod and probably never will maybe when it first released it was a fun and polished game but now it's a redundant mess with lots of confusing contraptions and constant repetitiveness.
