Genshin Impact is a whimsical, wondrous land dripping with unbridled charm and appeal, combining a ridiculously compelling reward loop with unfettered, continuous discovery. In this world I felt like a child visiting theme park for the first time — dazzled, mesmerized, and completely swept away. I only wish the shimmering glow wasn’t marred by a ghoulish monetization model, but that’s something I’m willing to overlook for my ticket to this fascinating realm.

During my time with Genshin Impact, I fell in love with it. After only a few hours, my thoughts about what this adventure was faded away as it truly evolves into a unique experience. There’s a fine level of detail that went into crafting this beautiful world, and you can’t help but want to see every inch of it. Although the grind and the gachas systems are present, this is a game that I will gladly return to again and again. Regardless, all of this is available for free, so nothing stops you from finding out for yourself.

Overall, in spite of things that should bring Genshin Impact down, the game is so much fun to play that the negatives are ultimately minor gripes. [...] The gameplay is smooth and simplistic, and it works great on all platforms - though I’m still not sure why the PlayStation version can’t be linked to a Mihoyo account so I could play on my phone when I’m not at home (PS Vita version please??) but it’s a small gripe to an otherwise terrific game.

Wherever it takes you, Genshin Impact is a more-than-convincing proposition, not least for those adamant on never spending a single cent in-game. The grind to get there may not always feel wholly natural or that players are genuinely being left to wander without restraint, but Genshin Impact‘s meticulous approach to environment design above all pulls through in many wonderful ways. Crafting one of the year’s more immersive and surprisingly rich open-world RPGs.

Genshin Impact is a stunning fantasy game that may be a potential revolution in the free-to-play genre.

Despite its uncanny superficial similarities to a certain popular Nintendo IP, Genshin Impact has enough personality to stand on its own, while also offering a creative combat system and an expansive world to explore.

Overall, Genshin Impact is a solid game hampered a bit by the restrictions its free-to-play model imposes. The overall production values are high, and the core gameplay is solid. In particular, the elemental interaction system is a ton of fun and gives the game a distinct personality. But while there's a lot to do, having several chunks of Genshin Impact gated off until you've reached a higher rank is an obnoxious restriction for an open-world game to have--and once you finally do see what lies in those unexplored areas, it's often a bit underwhelming. Still, it's a solid start, and I'll certainly be interested in seeing how Genshin Impact continues to evolve in future updates.

Play it yourself rather than believing these fools it's only a 12GB download and free.

It is a really nice RPG you should try it. The Gacha system is only to get you some new characters, but they are in no way needed to enjoy the RPG experience.

If people get turned off by a Gacha system, that doesn't hinder your progression and don't see that this game is at it's base a really nice action RPG than you shouldn't value their opinion.

And the game doesn't border you with pop ups and shoves banners in your face like other gacha games, so you should view this game more like a RPG that has an optional gacha element at the side.

The world is great, Music is great, on top of that the combat mechanic is super fun. I already put like 70+ hrs in the game now and I still want to play more. Yes, there is nothing I can do at this point since I cleared all quests, but we all know this is just the beginning. The content will continue to expand (what we have right now could be only 1/7 of total pieces or more. You just have to wait. Actually, with the content right now, the game can be sold at 60 usd like other AAA games, no one will complain but you can play all for free. This fact is enough to justify the high score. Though I would prefer direct buying rather than Gacha, but it is still awesome game nontheless.

Edit :: Oh and I am very surprised about how well the devs cared about side quests, puzzles. There are many that very well written/ good designed. NPCs around town too have good conversions, some are funny, some are interesting drama.

Stunning character and open-world designs, immersive BGM, and top-notch graphics, this game represents a great leap forward for the Chinese game industry. Compared to Tencent and Netease or other mobile game developers, I would say Mihoyo makes better games, period. To be honest, I enjoy this game more than BOTW.

HOWEVER, those who gave 10 out of 10 are just hilarious and biased, and I guarantee most of them are scams, or those players aren't reaching lv30 by now. Daily quests are extremely repetitive, and the whole open world is lack of re-exploration contents. This game IS a p2w game (a Chinese mobile game developer, what else do you expect?), and it has not one, not two, not three, not four, but five monetization systems, four of which are extremely profitable (battle pass, monthly subscription, skins (upcoming patch), and the gacha system (0.6% for 5-star characters OR weapon in one pool? Are you serious?). Several characters are vital for your experience (i.e., Wendy, Diruc, and Keqing), and their lower-tier substitutions are nowhere as good as they are. The main character (5-star) is underpowered, and several 4-star/5-star characters are also useless or underpowered except some specific mechanics in the game (yeah I am talking to you, Amber and Jean). Also, poor optimization for phones (so I don't know why people are rating 10/10 if they are playing on a phone). Poor rewards for explorations, quests, or even battle pass.

I don't think this game deserves a score of 0/1 or 9/10 to be honest. Let's see if the operation designer can handle the game better (they screwed up the mid-autumn fest and Chinese national day, there isn't any event and Chinese players are pissed off).

I honestly really enjoyed this game the first few days I played it. The graphics are great and the story is decent, but as soon as I finishedI honestly really enjoyed this game the first few days I played it. The graphics are great and the story is decent, but as soon as I finished the prologue things went downhill from my view. I spent about 100 dollars on the in-game currency and the only items I got were duplicates of mediocre characters I already owned, and some useless weapons I couldn't care less about. What's worse, is that the 5 star character that apparently had a boost that made it more common, didn't show up once. Not a single 5 star character in the 10+ wishes I made. I'm not willing to dump another 100+ dollars on this game just to get duplicates and items you can easily throw away. If you are gonna spend money on this game, do not be surprised if you get bad items. Expand

don't be foold by the first 20 hourse of the game it is all a trap to milk you, there are so many people that did get trapped and i'm talking about thousands of euro wasted by each of them into the game.
this whole thing is a gambling casino made for kids.
