    While separate from the Batman Arkham games timeline, Gotham Knights proves there is room on the block for a second AAA Batman franchise in the gaming world. The only question is, who will you choose to play as?

    Gotham Knights is an enjoyable action RPG that follows in the footsteps of the Batman: Arkham legacy while striking out on its own in a slightly different direction. It's the most realistic Gotham City we've seen yet, even though the story is only serviceable and the performance is disappointing. Still, fans of the genre and the characters should have fun with the game.

    The experience of playing Gotham Knights is dull. mediocre plot, hollow open world, equipment system in a mess, the fun of multiplayer mode is also limited. Although this game did not give me any strong negative feedback during playing, I still do not recommend players to buy it. After all, you can have many better choices at the end of this year.

    Gotham Knights, which can be described as mediocre at best, doesn't really know what it wants to be or how it would like to sell its story at any stage. No gameplay area of the new Batman game can truly shine, and as if that isn't difficult enough, the great Arkham series adds an extra burden to it. And that's what Batman died for?

    A game that looks great on paper but has a lazy implementation, you can feel the lack of passion within the development team. Gotham Knights makes RPGs and co-ops games look bad with a clunky combat, a predictable storyline and not to mention a lot of optimization problems.

    Game is quite enjoyable on PC if you've got the hardware to play it with 80+ FPS. Combat is fine. Story is decent, pacing is a little slower than some recent 3rd person hero games (aka Spiderman) but you can't compare this to Marvel Avengers or the Arkham games like for some reason many are.
    This is it's own thing and fun if you ignore the reviewers that had to review this the same time they all got their God of War Ragnarok review key and just wanted to push out something without even giving this game a chance.

    Yes it needs some optimization and yes it does require a bit of grind if you feel the need to play all four heroes at once due to the way this game required tasks to be done on each hero to unlock major skills.
    I would give it a 8. The score of 10 is to counter the unreasonable scores from people that are playing on a toaster and complain about it.    … Expand

Gotham Knights is a great game but people are comparing it to the BatmanI do not understand why this game gets the reviews that it does. Gotham Knights is a great game but people are comparing it to the Batman Arkham games. Although that is a fair view, it doesn't account for the game not being even remotely related to that series of games. Of course Gotham Knights isn't perfect, it has its flaws, but overall WB Games Montreal has a good foundation to build upon for the next couple years as they will update and patch it. Judging a game right after it releases is not a comparable view due to the fact that it has not matured yet. Every game has its flaws after releases no matter how big or small, they'll always have glitches and bugs. All I am saying is that judging and reviewing this game to be "the worst Batman/superhero game every made" is not a fair opinion. Of course you can say that, but that is not true by any standards at this point in this games' life span.… Expand

    the worst thing here is that the game is around 8 hours but main and side missions are locked behind randomly generated and repetitive missions so the game took 15 hours to complete

    so wait for a sale and then enjoy your half priced game    … Expand

    Performance issues aside, this is a below average, bad game. The developers cut corners on so many things and it only highlights how great the Arkham games are. The city feels lifeless and plain compared to Arkham Knight's. The Batcycle is atrocious. Collisions with objects do no feel impactful and the physics don't make sense. The physics in this game make NO sense. The grappling hook always zips you across in a straight line regardless of the angle. You're basically flying like Superman. The combat is not fluid like in the Arkham games. The writing is so dull that you can tell the writers do not care about these characters. The animations for these characters is terrible. This entire game feels like it was made by amateurs. The missions are incredibly repetitive as you you're tasked with fighting goons to progress in the story. And this is all before addressing the performance issues. I will give the game credit in that the customization is great, but that's the only highlight.    … Expand

    Game is crashing randomly and constantly. Performance is poo even on high spec computers. Skip it for now or wait for 90% discount or something.
