  • Summary: Guns, Gore & Cannoli 2 revives the good, old, action platform run & gun genre, but this time with a bunch of humor and buckets of blown off body parts. In this sequel to Guns, Gore & Cannoli, Vinnie Cannoli’s story continues and this time it’s personal.

Guns, Gore and Cannoli 2 is a perfect run & gun game for reliving memories and relaxation. The game is filled with fantastic levels, enemies and great "tongue in cheek humor“.

Guns, Gore & Cannoli 2 is a charming 2D action/shooter which is highly recommended to all the old and new fans of the genre and it is a bright example of how sequels can be done right.

Guns, Gore & Cannoli 2 is excellent. The classic side-scrolling shooting benefits greatly from the 360-degree aiming, giving you few to no limits in dealing carnage. The presentation is still solid, and the improved co-op mechanics make this a perfect game to play with friends. Shooting fans will have a blast with this one.

Guns, Gore and Cannoli 2 is a wonderful sequel that knows how to improve the level design. Too bad it is shorter than the previous game.

Guns, Gore & Cannoli 2 does absolutely nothing to evolve the genre, but it’s OK. Not every game needs to be innovative, and this Belgian run’n’gun excels at squeezing every drop of fun out of every minute of gameplay using simple means and it looks amazing while doing it. [05/2018, p.54]

A formula that still works quite well, in short, and which is hard to complain about that much.

While the actual story felt like it was trying to drive me away from the action, Guns, Gore and Cannoli 2 kept me in by being a really stellar side-scroller. The shooting felt great, the environments were well-designed and chock full of enemies to beat, and the arenas were challenging without being cheap. Certainly not as sweet as its namesake overall, but you’d be crazy to turn down this cannoli without giving it a chance.

    All is 10/10 IMO.

It is a short game, but the action is constant, cut-scenes have the perfect lenght and are worth watching witht the humor they have to offer, and there is never a feeling of grind or boredom, so despite the game being completed after 3-4h, it is definetly worth the price.
I only completed the "Normal" difficulty, and there are 2-3 higher ones, so could imagine that would take much longer, which is something I might test out.

I hope the developers will keep doing these, with the same or different skins, as long as the same level of quality remains.

Yeah people say it is short (which is true) but seriously at that price, you really get a lot of bang for your buck; it's FUN, provides various types of gun to let your creativity run wild on your enemies, the artwork is very impressive for its genre and the scenario / gameplay is cool. And finally, you get to play co-op with a friend which makes the experience so much better (my friend and I had so much laugh while playing it!). I definitely recommend this game to anyone who likes to play games for simple fun. We truly need more games like this one.. Expand

GGC2 proves this in spades. This wonderfully modest little title is clearly not a big budget game nor is it a hard drive hog. Its simply well designed humorous, "shoot em up" "dodge and dive" fun that kept me engrossed for hours where big budget stinkers like Far Cry 5 left me bored in under 60 minutes.

It might take a little while to get used to the controls in GGC2 and if you are not a naturally well co-ordinated person you may not like this game. I will add this title does commit the same crime as others at times in so much as it creates a contrived situation that's unfair to make it more difficult. The tank battle is a case in question where the weapons you do have should be enough to defeat it but the developers make you take a fixed route that's far harder. This sort of thing should be left out of games as it add's no value and rightly angers gamer's.

That said if like me you grew up with scrolling platform games and you were good at them, as I am, you will enjoy this title.

    8/10 from me. Good effort!!!

It´s a fun game, better than the first but it´s so much short. Amost 13 euros for 4-6 hours is not enough.

There's like trillionBeautiful looking game but, unfortunately, as someone mentioned, virtually unplayable due to the god-awful controls. There's like trillion inputs, both keyboard and mouse, for what is supposed to be a plain straightforward run-and-gun. The game won't recognize my joystick and it wouldn't do me any good if it did since I "only" have 10 buttons at my disposal and the app requires, like, 30. Devs should have stuck with the good old formula "the less is more". Instead, we got a game where one must use mouse cursor just to make the character face the other way (?!?!). Long story short, control inputs have ruined what might have been a great game. Since it can't even be played properly, the score of zero would be more appropriate but I'll reward it with one solely on account of nice art-style and the fact I loved the first game. Expand
