If you're a fan of the original Legend of Zelda and don't already own the vanilla Ittle Dew 2 then Ittle Dew 2+ is a must-buy adventure that's bursting with charm in a vibrant, memorable, and puzzle-filled world.
Ittle Dew 2+ is a fantastic 2D Zelda style experience and is a well worth your time, puzzle solving can be difficult at times but the charm and presentation will be enough to keep you going until the fantastic conclusion.
Great music, cool graphics, variety of different locations (Star forest, beach, ... ). "The Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past" tribute. I enjoy this game a lot.
The game is a really good spiritual successor to 2D Zeldas. My only issue is that is a bit short but it is really good!It is a good price and it does a good job explaining the story and the characters are fun!
The graphics are superb!
Ittle Dew 2+ charms instantly with its open-world freedom, challenging puzzles, and constant snark. With the 2+ added dungeons, there’s plenty here to have you hunting for secrets for hours if you’re in the know. But if you’re stumbling through for the first time, you might find the adventure over too soon and too easily without knowing why.
On top of the original base game, Ittle Dew 2 + on the Switch has the Dream World which adds 5 new dungeons with their own difficulties to conquer, a new boss, and cards to collect. It's a great way to make a somewhat short game last a little longer. And trust us, Ittle Dew 2 is so charming you'll want it to last as long as it can.
Ittle Dew 2+ is a perfect fit for the portable Switch, and a supplement if you’ve been missing a top-down Zelda title on it. It has its own brand of humor and is chock-full of creativity with its visuals, dialogue, and puzzles, but can be found lacking with regard to its repetitive, unrewarding combat.
Ittle Dew 2+ is more than the sum of its parts. It has many small great qualities that tie everything together to make it a worthy Zelda-style adventure. It is too bad that the combat is not one of those working parts. This adventure has a true spirit of exploration and a ton of puzzles and secrets to uncover. The legitimately funny character banter should manage to get a laugh out of even cold and dead inside cynical reviewers. The humour has a dryness to it that is unexpected for such a colourful and wacky looking videogame - most of which is derived from the flying fox, Tippsie (the best character in the game). The load times can be really lengthy at times, which is confusing since Ittle Dew 2+ is certainly not taxing the Nintendo Switch, but they are ultimately worth it in this quaint action-adventure game.
A tribute ti 2d Zelda games. It lacks some polish (explained later) but feel this was fun to play. The storyline was simple yet satirical. For not being serious, I enjoyed it.
The dudgeon's and caves were great if doing the main storyline. They have also mini dudgeon's - bigger then caves - called 'portals' which was a nice bonus to receive upgrades. The puzzles were fantastic, artstyle was spot on and the over-world was fun.
The main issues I had were:
- The bosses (especially in the bonus dudgeon's) were waaaay too difficult for me. The puzzles and enemies are well balanced, but the bosses were so tough it broke emersion for me. If they had 20% less health it would be balanced to the core game
- The dream world, I did not like! It was less about puzzles solving and more on frame perfect moves, not what I consider fair
In stating my issues, I loved the final boss in the main storyline. One of the best boss battles I have played period! If you 'git gud' and can beat the bosses onslaught in the main campaign you can have great fun adventuring
This is a fun little zelda puzzler that worth checking out if you're into top-down adventure games. It's funny, has a good art style, nice music and pleasant little puzzles. Unfortunately, there really isn't all that much going on in the game beyond that and by the end I was mostly just rushing through the game to finish it, and I doubt I'll even do that. The excitement just kinda drops off once you've found all of the items and you start seeing the same puzzles repeated with only slight variation. In the end, this game is not really worth the $30 asking price, but if you can grab it for $15 or less, you'll be okay.
A decent game, but it quickly fell off for me. This game doesn't do a good job at being a zelda clone, it feels lazy and bare bones, even Blossom Tales was better then this.
Unfair dungeons and unfairly tough boss even after you figure out their patterns. Requires pixel perfect precision. For example, in the sand castle dungeon, reflecting back enemy projectiles does far less damage than hitting it with the weapon. Like seriously, does any one in the dev team know how to design a boss fight..
SummaryIttle Dew 2 is a charming and humorous 3D action-adventure game with a focus on exploration and combat. Tackle the game’s dungeons in any order and discover the many secrets of its expansion.
