Beautiful setting and sound design, fantastic story, and perfectly implemented gameplay mechanics make IXION an easy 10 for me.
IXION is a game packed with good ideas and great execution which is a rare combo these days. The gameplay is rather innovative for a city-building title and the story is no short of a well-made Sci-Fi movie. IXION is a must-play for city-building lovers!

I've been waiting for this sadly obscure game to release since I found out about it last year. This was promised to be the spiritual successor to another great game that is much more popular.....Frostpunk.
Somehow they managed to keep their promise and deliver the same very challenging city building experience as Frostpunk did. I am a big fan of the first game and I am very happy with what they did here. Expect to progress like you do in Dark Souls game....slowly...step by step after you understand and learn from each mistake you made. Since Frostpunk I really love tough experiences like these where game progression means figuring out the puzzle, the correct sequence of actions that will allow you to survive :). I highly recommend this game!

Buy IXION. **** the ratings. It will be really hard. And yes, that's really a bit too hard. But the story is so incredibly good so far... The best story I've seen in years across genres....

So, in order effectively play this challenging city-building, survival hybrid, players will need an upper mid-tier PC. It's unfortunate because IXION is a game that quickly catches the player's attention and, despite it's high demands of the player, it finds a way to feel balanced and fair. For those that enjoy this type of game and have the hardware to comfortably play it, then there's no hesitation in recommending this title. Otherwise, it might be better to start with a less intense game in this genre and wait for some performance patches to avoid the punishment of the ever spinning wheels of fire and buffering.
As a space-style "farming" game, "IXION" presented a cold space world and the space station "Tai Kun". It is not only home for players, but also a carrier for exploration and advancement. The experience of wandering in space with home is quite unique. But beyond this, "IXION" did not bring more surprises to the players. The imperfect details, fast pace in the early and mid-term, and some unreasonable difficulty settings make players easily frustrated.
Superb ambienceand outstanding music elevates a well crafted story in this relentlessness and somewhat unbalanced space manager game.
There is a lot to like about Ixion – it is an atmospheric tale of humanity dealing with the odds and overcoming any obstacle in its path, one way or another. That same difficulty is often too oppressive however, and I feel that it will be a bit of an obstacle for some; in addition, there are a few foibles elsewhere which can make for a frustrating experience and have marked down my enthusiasm. For those who want a challenge though, Ixion will be an excellent and immersive choice.
Ixion perhaps could be used as an example of flying so high... and then missing the mark and falling pretty far down. There was so much to recommend and enjoy about the game, especially if only checking the first few hours. But the more you play, the flaws, difficulty, unraveling story, and pretty much everything else frustrates the player to such a degree that many players are not going to finish the game, either due to the difficulty, or simply not wanting to do the same thing for 5 hours and hoping their ship doesn't blow up randomly.
Really nice strategy game in the line of god games such as Frostpunk. Feels unique, lore and mechanic wise. Great care has been put into everything. From my POV nothing seems half-baked. I really like the idea of separating the ship into different sectors that can share resources, once you have a sector ready to go micro management is reduced to a minimum which is greatly appreciated since you can focus on other sectors. Didn't feel unfair on "Default" difficulty, and I felt the pacing was right. I'd recommend starting a short run first to learn the ropes.I really like the setting, the story, cinematics and thinking about how to squeeze as many buildings as possible in a sector :).IXION is great!

+ Beautiful, atmospheric, and polished.
+ Intuitive and easy-to-learn; difficulty settings offer a balanced experience for all players.
- Decent story, but extremely linear progression.
- Trust and Hull decay mechanics quickly become a chore.
- Many "annoyance" mechanics (such as spam requests during crisis) that offer nothing but frustration to the player.
- Massive amounts of RNG, none of it contributes to the game experience.
- Some aspects are mechanically clunky and feel unfinished (transfers are at the top of the list).

Masochistic surviving gameplay you need a big amount of iron not only to build things but also to keep your hull from deteriorating or else it's game over. Who in the right mind thought these outrageous ideas are fun? In every system that you travel your hull becomes smaller and smaller and you need a crazy amount of Iron not only to survive but also to build things !! Even during planets exploration and missions later in the game your need again an amount of iron for a good outcome or else you get mostly failure messages !! It's sad as the game looks pretty but the gameplay is not fun and crazy. It's plain masochist always asking you for huge amounts of resources. This is one of the worse management games i have ever played it's outright unfair feels more like a survivor game than a strategy title.

Considered the game I give it a 4 because I don't believe the game is finished, it still needs a lot of work. It's a very linear story, and it always repeats the same guidelines. There's no variety or variability in the campaign, so I gave it a negative vote. The game had the potential to be good, but they decided to put it aside and sell the game to make money instead of making a good game.
