    Beautiful setting and sound design, fantastic story, and perfectly implemented gameplay mechanics make IXION an easy 10 for me.

    It probably sounds frustrating. And it is. I walked away a few times in disgust. But as is clear from the tone of this review, I always came back. That counts more than anything else. That’s the most important thing. I liked spending time in Ixion’s world, in Ixion’s story. I like space disaster stories. Eventually, I was happy to bump myself down to the ‘story’ difficulty, because I didn’t want to miss out. I like looking at it, and I like listening to it. I plan to return to Ixion, to once again embrace sweet failure.

    IXION is a game packed with good ideas and great execution which is a rare combo these days. The gameplay is rather innovative for a city-building title and the story is no short of a well-made Sci-Fi movie. IXION is a must-play for city-building lovers!

    As a space-style "farming" game, "IXION" presented a cold space world and the space station "Tai Kun". It is not only home for players, but also a carrier for exploration and advancement. The experience of wandering in space with home is quite unique. But beyond this, "IXION" did not bring more surprises to the players. The imperfect details, fast pace in the early and mid-term, and some unreasonable difficulty settings make players easily frustrated.

    Ixion is an unassuming space odyssey in which you build and manage your own space station. It’s a bit like Frostpunk but also adds its own layers, even if the execution sometimes leaves a lot to be desired. There is a pretty nice story accompanying all the strategy, though!

    Superb ambienceand outstanding music elevates a well crafted story in this relentlessness and somewhat unbalanced space manager game.

    Ixion perhaps could be used as an example of flying so high... and then missing the mark and falling pretty far down. There was so much to recommend and enjoy about the game, especially if only checking the first few hours. But the more you play, the flaws, difficulty, unraveling story, and pretty much everything else frustrates the player to such a degree that many players are not going to finish the game, either due to the difficulty, or simply not wanting to do the same thing for 5 hours and hoping their ship doesn't blow up randomly.

    I've been waiting for this sadly obscure game to release since I found out about it last year. This was promised to be the spiritual successor to another great game that is much more popular.....Frostpunk.
    Somehow they managed to keep their promise and deliver the same very challenging city building experience as Frostpunk did. I am a big fan of the first game and I am very happy with what they did here. Expect to progress like you do in Dark Souls game....slowly...step by step after you understand and learn from each mistake you made. Since Frostpunk I really love tough experiences like these where game progression means figuring out the puzzle, the correct sequence of actions that will allow you to survive :). I highly recommend this game!    … Expand

    The game is challenging in a fair way. You don't struggle to stabilize your city constantly.    This is the best city-builder this year.

    The game is challenging in a fair way. You don't struggle to stabilize your city constantly. Rather, it's easy to stabilize, but new encounters throw you off balance, so you're constantly trying to get a handle of something new. The challenges are also novel and interesting mechanically.

    Importantly, a lot of the rules respect you as a player. The roads don't cost resources. Buildings are fully refunded if you want to move them or shift your production focus. If something in your production chain breaks, it doesn't immediately cause a death spiral feedback loop that tears the whole system apart. You have a chance to recover. If you can't feed everyone, your workers don't immediately all go on strike and make it impossible to grow your food production again. These are the kinds of things a lot of similar games make mistakes with, and this game has taken those experiences into consideration when making design decisions.

    Some complaints about the game have been that the demo front-loads a lot of the story and cinematics which feels like a ripoff. If you're like me, you're buying the game based on reviews, not based on the demo, so it shouldn't be a problem. This is the new bar for city-builders.    … Expand

Es bien dificil a medida que avanzamos en el juego y no hay forma de cambiar la dificultad, debieron poner el clasico easy, medium o hard. El juego en si es buenisimo sobre todo en cuanto historia y sonido, es muy parecido al frostpunk por lo que no es algo innovador en cuanto a tipo de juego, por lo demas muy bueno, espero que le arreglen los bugs en parches venideros, que tiene un monton.… Expand
