While Rubble Without a Cause can be a little obtuse and less intuitive than A Knight to Remember, it is still a worthy installment.

I enjoyed my time with Rubble Without a Cause, but it was still disappointing that this episode didn’t have the grander scale presented in A Knight to Remember.

King’s Quest is letting us down a little bit in this second episode, as it has less logical puzzles and a shorter story. Thanks to the animations, atmosphere, voice acting and emotional moments it is still one of the best adventures of this moment though.

Episode Two is obviously shorter but still enjoyable and entertaining. It offers great voice acting and an outstanding plot again. Something doesn’t work as intended yet we can recommend the Rubble Without a Cause to all adventure players.

While Rubble Without A Case is still a good time, it lacks the variety and excellent pacing of King’s Quest’s first chapter.

There are plenty of fun puzzles in store along with a timer mechanic, but the cramped, dark setting and lack of visual variety tends to rob these elements of the charm they could have.

While Rubble Without a Cause echoes many positive aspects of its predecessor, the gloomy story and unimaginative quests turn what should have been another fun fairy tale into something of a death march. Yet even with these significant flaws, the overall charm of the visuals and voice acting kept me playing and left me optimistic that the series will redeem itself in the next chapter.

The chapter is however half the duration of the first one and seems like a bit of a rush job so it's definitely not as good as the first chapter but I still find it entertaining nonetheless. Expand

We waited nearly half a year for something so average. To me, it just does not contain the value for the time spent developing the chapter. I finished my first playthrough in about 2-3 hours. When I found out it was going to be different endings, by choosing different choices, I tried it once more. And what I found out, was that it merely lasted 1 hour. The puzzles are simple, and the second playthroughs become so quick because you remember what to do. In terms of the story/voice acting, it is not very special. The first chapter had a better experience and better story in general.

This story was not that memorable or enjoyable, but I really hope they will be able to do better in the next chapter.

I'm aware it'll have a continuation in chapter 3 but this game is disappointing.
    Pros: smooth controls
Cons: very short, story absurd and bizarre, ugly scenarios, you have to return down to bed lots of times, etc

sadly, this is not the only problem though...story is weak, humor is bad, puzzles are ridiculous ,interface is terrible and it's got bad controls overall(they should have kept the point and click interface) and unskippable dialogues are a pain (especially if you do a second run to make different choices)

I finished the game in like 3-4 hours. The first one took a couple months (I dont play every day). I was a big fan of the games growing up, so I was excited to buy them on PS4. Chapter 1 was great. This one was....just nothing. No new characters. Very few and easy puzzles. You save the people then it ends. I thought the game would START after that!
Very disappointing. Hope Chapter 3 is much, much better...
