I have nothing but good things to say about Knights and Bikes, it has a great story, great presentation and it is fun to boot. It has a beautiful art style, great music and will keep you entertained throughout its short but very sweet campaign. If you like simple but entertaining games, you will love it, as I did.
Knights and Bikes presents a superb adventure that will definitely stick with you for a long time. You never want some games to end and in Knights and Bikes' case, the characters will make you never want to say goodbye. No matter where Nessa and Demelza go, I definitely want to follow along. Now, excuse me while I go hunt down every piece of merch for this game; I need all of it.

I am a Kickstarter backer and I got this on the PS4, but this game had me enthralled. With it's charming design, wonderful music, engaging co-op mechanics, and well written story, I would definitely recommend playing this with a friend or even by yourself. It's a game that is worth multiple plays and I am proud to have stumped up some money for it all those years ago. Definitely play it if you haven't already.

Knights & Bikes was created by a small team featuring several people who worked on LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway, and you can feel that all these games share a similar creative vision. There's a kind of wide-eyed, rough and tumble spirit of adventure running through all three games that is hard to resist. Knights & Bikes is a wonderfully warm, effortlessly inviting experience that'll make you feel young again.
Knights and Bikes serves as a powerful nostalgia trip that’ll take you back to your imagination fuelled childhood adventures. With pretty much every aspect tightly crafted to exude a childlike spirit, the art style, animation, soundtrack, and gameplay all help give authenticity to the story of Nessa and Demelza’s burgeoning relationship. While a touch more challenge – especially in the combat – would have been welcome, the breezy pace of the story will help captivate your attention, not only with its themes of friendship and self-discovery, but more importantly through its correct instruction in how to apply jam and cream to a scone.
Knights and Bikes is a great and a beautiful way to kill a handful of hours with a friend. You can play solo but as a game with such a heavy focus on friendship, it only seems right to have a friend by your side, either physically or virtually, to go on a colorful adventure and deal with some real life heavy subjects.
Where Knights and Bikes meets the pass-mark for a sufficient, story-focused adventure title, it unfortunately falters with its insistence on a gameplay front that’s ultimately lacking and too often reliant on a repeated formula. If you can look past its formulaic moments of enemy-routing and the dead air that are its A-to-B travel, the tale being told in Knights and Bikes is pleasant enough and one that’s sure to raise a smile or two.
Wonderful game. Opening song (I Wanna Ride My Bike - by Daniel Pemberton) is awesome. Love the local co-op, been playing with my son. Great game!

Such a lovely game, both in looks and outlook, with love, loss and friendship being the main themes.
Can be played solo (with AI controlling other character), but you can still swap between the two if you wish. This is extra helpful if you get stuck (the puzzles aren’t that difficult) as the AI will likely show you how to solve it.
Would recommend to adults and children (7+ would be best, imho) and even better with an adult and a child playing together. :-)

The art and story are good but the gameplay is just fine. Hard to know where to go next and not much tips to guide you. The game is quite long too. Quite annoying to get all boxes collectiable.

The first ten minutes of this game: oh my GOD it's so ADORABLE I'm gonna save it to play with a friend
then
oh my god i love how the powerup things are split unevently it's like having to share when you're a kid and everyone's got different **** going on and the art and music are fabulous
then
oh wow it has a plot too, neat
and it's funny and silly with some wonderful one-offs and supporting cast
At this point I'd give it 10 out of 10
then it turns out that playing with someone else is a letdown cause half the time it's taken you ages to get to the edge of the screen that isn't progress so you have to trudge across to the other side, and then that's not it either, and the perspective and art style can make it really unclear about what's a wall or entrance and sometimes it's just broken and your save file is now corrupted so you reload from the thankfully great bookmark system and then cutscenes aren't skippable, which is hilarious because of the amount of times we skipped dialogue as both of us are pressing buttons (apart from the times Nessa's dialogue can only be advanced by Nessa) and movement is a bit slow and the camera moves a bit floatily and...
It's absolutely a delight, but it's just very rarely *fun*
