Adopting the dark and complex atmosphere of ancient Scandinavia, Konung 2 combines history with classical myths and legends, immortal heroes, magical artifacts and ancient sorcery. Good and evil have now transposed, resulting in chaos and turmoil. Having fallen under the spell of wicked magic, a new Dark Master now threatens the land and only six warriors, male and female descendants of the Titans, can stop him in his quest to destroy all that can be used to return peace and stability. These heroes must summon their courage, strength, and wits to defeat this new face of evil and his minions, both human and monstrous! [Got Game] Expand

  1. Reminds me of a budget minded "Dungeon Siege," a game I liked very much. It lacks the depth and the beauty DS has but remember it only has a MSRP of about 20 bucks. It also lacks any MP capability so everything will be solo or using AI companions.
  2. The developers are obviously fans of the tough-as-nails older PC RPGs and were trying to emulate that experience here, but their obvious inexperience with development has created a glitchy, cookie-cutter type of game that does not belong on anybody's hard drive.
  3. So don’t be fooled into thinking that Konung 2 might be worthwhile to purchase since it’s only $20. I got it for free, and I hated it. If you’re interested in this type of game, then I’d recommend "Prince of Qin" instead.

As far as RPGs go, Konung 2 may very well be the worst I've ever played... Stay away from this disastrous sequel, even if someone gives it to you. [Apr 2005, p.70]

An attractive game that allows you to plunge into the cozy atmosphere of ancient legends.

Very nice game! Enchanting story, allows big entourage for the main character, nice historical background blending 3 great cultures Very nice game! Enchanting story, allows big entourage for the main character, nice historical background blending 3 great cultures (Byzantine Empire, Kievska Rossije and Vikings). The graphics are moderate as zooming on the characters is not possible and the voices are inadequate. Nonetheless it's a good example of how good a simple game can be, when it is endowed with a large dose of history and a good plot! I recommend it unreservedly! Expand

The game has only one drawback - this is its duration. With proper skill, the duration is 5-6 hours.

This is a wonderful world of Slavic fantasy. Here you will meet monsters of Slavic folklore. You will see buildings as in antiquity. In conclusion, I can say that this is a pleasant fairy tale for a couple of evenings of the game.

It is a little irritating in that you seem to get to a certain point and then have nothing left to do, no where else to go. I know I apparently need to talk to someone but I thought I'd talked to everyone in every place! I'm looking for a map or walkthrough to find out what I'm missing. And yes, your caharacters get killed easily in the beginning and so do all your cohorts. I finally had to hex edit just to get started! But even with all this, the game is fun. Expand
