L.A. Noire shows us that not every sandbox game has to be about killing prostitutes. This Complete Edition for the PC shows up a bit late to the party but that doesn't make it any less fun. The interrogations are a lot of fun and you'll feel like a true Sherlock Holmes at times. It's just a shame that the replay value is very low.

A unique adventure game that borrows many features from mystery and action games, incorporating them seamlessly in the narrative flow, thus creating a truly special game that not everyone will enjoy. And that's because it has its own character, defying contemporary 'fast food' games that are churned out today and because it's reminiscent of endeavors made in another era, where immersion of an ultimate single-player experience was the first and last goal of their creators.

LA Noire Complete Edition is an adult experience, supported by the excellent motionscan technology and a great narrative for our media. A good title that deserves a chance, despite its oddities probably due to the original development team, swallowed by debt and afflicted by a not edifying work story.

A wonderfully directed «interactive TV series» about the harsh realities of LA police detective's life. [January 2012, p.59]

We can't knock the ambition of LA Noire, and the MotionSense technology certainly makes game characters look much more realistic without the need to install a rendering server in your home, but the game lacks fun. LA Noire aims to makes you feel like a real-life police office, but real-life police-work is actually quite dull.

It features a lot of cool missions where you will be investigating different crimes, and take a control of Cole Phelps — a detective from Los Angeles. There is a big familiarity with well-known GTA, Mafia, and it's combination of these games. The first things you will love in this game are graphics, story missions, gameplay. Really, it's interesting to decide who is guilty and who is innocent. In a nutshell, this game is as good as GTA, RDR, Max Payne. Expand

However the mini games are nohting special, but suits into the game style. The motion Capturing thing impresses me a lot, although the rest of the graphics isnt so shiny at all. But it doesnt need to since the story is very great.
For those who like story games and solving crimes is that the game u are searching for.

Noire is a great game, but not as perfect as I would have liked it to be. I loved the story, it was well written and portrayed, there are very deep concepts and somehow controversial topics that add depth to the characters. The gameplay though is kind of another story, the investigation mechanics are fine, but the way interrogations work could have been resolved better so they wouldn't feel that much out of your control (of course interregations in real life can't go the way you want them, but the way you decide if its false or true lacks more complexity). The driving is responsive, not something you would get mad at, nonetheless it can get a little boring from time to time, Overall it was a great experience, sure it could have been more polished, but you'll never regret buying this good game. And it didn't help that they used a clunky DRM system that reminds me of some draconian anti-cheat system from Korea. The storyline and overall concept is brilliant though, plus the addition of licensed cars and a (mostly) accurate depiction of downtown Los Angeles adds to the charm. Expand

Controls are pain the ass, especially in fight or other sequences. You can skip them, sometimes it's the only way to move forward. City is huge but kinda empty. However very good music and sounds are remainding noir classics. Lets just say this game is decent console port but nothing more. Expand
