The standard Lego procedure with a story that works very well. All in all it's a solid, but not really surprising, Lego game.

Game play is familiar to Lego game fans, but with enough twists to keep it fresh - and less paint-by-numbers than other recent releases (I'm a very casual adult gamer, and love the Lego format, but yawned my way through the last Leg Star Wars effort...) I'd even say that youngsters might actually need a helping parental hand occasionally, and that TT might really have struck that elusive perfect balance to keep both kids and grownups amused for hours.
PS. I revised the score down from 9, on account of the bugs, which are plentiful. So far I've found work-arounds, but the basic rule of thumb is that if it feels like you're stuck for no reason, you probably are. End game and try again with different moves.
Can't wait to finish Story Mode so I can check out what's available in the open areas :-)

One of the positive pointsA fun mid-tier LEGO game, with a cliché story of course. Gameplay and graphics were good, as it always used to be. One of the positive points of game was that there were more than 200 playable characters! However, there were 15-20 playable characters throughout the story missions.
Customizing characters was my favorite part. It was so entertaining to make your own characters and give them different abilities and weapons.
There were also some problems that I encountered with in the game.
The first problem ,which was noticeable from the very first moment in the game, was that there were too many unnecessary (and UNSKIPPABLE!) cutscenes which really slowed pace of the game.
The other thing is, I think Tt really has to get out of the idea of "beat the boss, finish the mission". Because it makes every mission look similar.
One of the other problems was the map. In my opinion, combining different cities from different times was not a good idea for a open-world game. It wasn't attractive at all to explore the map. I just picked a character which could fly so that I could get into the mission faster!
Generally, it's not a bad game to play but compared to other LEGO games, it's a bit off-colour.

One major issue is the voice acting; the voice acting isn't bad per se, but I don't think lego games should have voice acting. Games like the complete saga and lego star wars III could convey their stories without voice acting and it made it much funnier. Expand
