Aug 30, 2016Every moment is pure destructive joy, the likes of which absolutely must be played. It is something that I never thought would be seen again: a AAA isometric shooter. With likable heroes, overwhelming villains and engrossing story and gameplay, Livelock sets a new standard for the genre. No bugs could be found, either, with the exception of the mechanical ones that are supposed to be shot. Publisher Perfect World Entertainment proved that they knew what they were doing when they picked this up to release as their first non-free to play game. This is a masterpiece.

Aug 30, 2016Easily one of the top five games I’ve played this year and quite possibly the best top-down shooter I’ve ever played, at least in a long time.
-
Sep 5, 2016If you're looking for a fun twin-stick shooter that feels familiar yet fresh, Livelock is worth a purchase, especially if you have friends to play with. Now, if only it had a better title like 'Rock'em, Sock'em, Brobots'.

Oct 1, 2016If you’re in the mood for a decent top-down shooter with some solid ARPG elements in character building and load-out tweaking you could do a lot worse than the budget-priced Livelock. If you’ve got a good friend or two to play with, even better.

Sep 6, 2016Livelock provides some enjoyable fun on the PC that although is not a challenge, still evokes a good gaming experience.
-
Sep 6, 2016A robust, yet deeply uninspired top-down shooter that is fun for a couple of hours, but loses its charm rather quickly.
-
Aug 30, 2016The real disappointment of Livelock is that it doesn’t do anything particularly original or interesting. Everything works well enough, and there are definitely moments of fun to be had when you’re making scrap metal out of your foes. However, there’s nothing that lets it truly stand out amongst other top-down shooters on the market.
