    Way too grindy and repetitive. Different regions, same **** At no point does this game stop being a chore and start being enjoyable.

    Despite the game being very pretty and engaging at times, it fails to let you have fun. It's a frustrating game and I recommend you stay away. Constant crashes aside, the game doesn't seem to respect your time by having you backtrack from one side to the other of the map in case of failure. Often times, dying is due to unpredictable physics, and very loose car controls. You will hit thisDespite the game being very pretty and engaging at times, it fails to let you have fun. Also, the game doesn't seem to know how to challenge you when on foot other than overwhelming you with a stupid amount of enemies. Boss fights are repetitive and lack depth. Combat in fact, lacks depth. The best tools and game mechanics are hidden away under a significant amount of grinding and that is a shame, because the road raids can be fun when it allows.… Expand

    One of the most boring, predictible and long games ever. It's just like movie itself - in many ways overrated when it's worse of most average projects.

    - Этот ебантизм, который присутствует почти в каждой современной песочнице, захват лагерей и вышек для удержания территории... боже... как от этого трясет.
    - Сюжетная линия очень примитивная и плоская. - Нет возможности    - Да ну так себе игра. Вначале кажется интересной, с хорошей атмосферой и т.д. Но это максимум на 3 часа, потом начинается однообразное дрочиво, тупое дрочиво.

    Mad Max has a good story but not the gameplay.

    Like: - Graphics is really detailed. - Physics simulation is good. - Story is better than Mad Max (the movie). Dislike: - Combat system is poor. - The character's abilities are poor. He cannot even climb on a low stair which is just high as his stomach. - Less weapon to use. - Why do I have to meet a NPC to upgrade my Stats. And why    Mad Max has a good story but not the gameplay.

    Like:
    - Graphics is really detailed.

    Dislike:
    - Combat system is poor.
    - The character's abilities are poor. He cannot even climb on a low stair which is just high as his stomach.

    - Why do I have to meet a NPC to upgrade my Stats. And why I have to go through story to unlock them. Worst than FarCry or Batman.
    - Car upgrading also bad as the Chars Stats Upgrading.

    Devs should fix their game instead of joining political flashmob. Closing purchases of your products for people of Belarus and Russia is antidemocratic and should be punished.

    I thought this would be a mediocre version of Shadow of Mordor, which is a great game. Instead, it's a mediocre version of Far Cry 4. There's less weapon and fight variety. It's just a grind, with the same missions OVER and OVER and OVER again. The only way the game can provide a challenge is by locking you out of customization options for as long as possible, and deliberately giving youI thought this would be a mediocre version of Shadow of Mordor, which is a great game.     Game knows how to waste your time. At first I loved the game but slowly scrap looting, boss fights, slow upgrades made me sick, its all just frustrating. Rest of the game is repetitive, nothing interesting happens anymore.

    I've read lots of sparkling reviews praising the graphics, but the visuals are very basic; it's mostly desert and badly textured metals etc, (think Borderlands without the cartoon filter).
    You'll spend a vast majority of your time climbing ladders, collecting scrap and entering/exiting your car; but the range of detection in the games code for these tasks is so terrible, you'll spend the vast majority of your time cursing the game developers, rather than playing the game.
    On top of this you have to constantly drive about with a crow-barred in character named 'chum bucket', who's superfluous to the Mad Max cannon, and was only placed there for the younger audience. I assume the developers or publishing house, feel that their target audience need some form of constant companionship and guidance in modern games, because, 'silence and thinking for oneself is a negative thing'. There are many other faults with this pc title, but I won't mention them, I've wasted enough time writing this.
    I just didn't want people giving their money to a bad title and therefore encouraging sloppy practice in the pc game industry. (...although at this point, I really feel like I'm pissing in the wind).    … Expand

    This game is so boring I really tried liking it many times but I just couldn't. There is almost no story which is boring and the mechanics are so bad and its unbelievably repetitive game from the start. The graphics are outdated and not nice at all and the combat well you wont find it special if you are coming from the batman series.     Waste of good port. The vehicle and control is clumsy, the camera angle is even worst. Hand to hand combat is water down version of Batman AK. But the biggest "WTF" moment is I realize this game didnt include motorbikes? Sure, this movie is not based on the movies, but it is derivative of that universe. How can you NOT have motorbikes? Terrible omission by the developers.

    I can't get over how f*cking r*tarded the story in this game is. Throughout the entire game Max came off as nothing more than a d*mbass selfish *sshole taking one moronic bad decision after the other. One moment Max is treating this woman with indifference and abandoning her and her child to fate, the other one he is going insane with anger and hatred because they were killed. And to crown this whole imbec*lity, the entire story depends on the fact that the antagonist was able to survive his brain being literally sawed in half with a chainsaw. I could eat a dictionary and still sh*t out a better script than what the id*ots who wrote this cr*p came up with.

    The gameplay is tolerable at best, but extremely repetitive and padded out. This entire game felt like a massive waste of my time.    … Expand

    Middle of the road game. It has many faults but I was able to tolerate them enough to finish the game. It suffers from assassin's creed disease where it throws way too many collectibles and side objectives at you but doesn't give you any reason to actually want to collect them. Upgrading strongholds is so tedious that I just did it for the first one in the game and fast traveled to it whenMiddle of the road game. It uses the batman arkham model of fighting but without all the gadgets that made it interesting. There are certain side missions in the game that require it to be night time. The day/night cycle in the game is extremely slow, and there is no easy way to make time pass faster. When I picked up the nighttime-only mission the sun was already on the horizon, about to set, so I decided to go to the misison location and wait it out. I still had to wait over an hour. Come on game developers, there's no reason for that...… Expand

    Would have been a great, if unoriginal, Mad Max skinned version of Assassins creed, apart from the fact that this is the most bug ridden game I've played in years. After a few hours of blacked out cut-scenes and GPU hangs I gave up.

So I wasted 30 odd Gb's of download to play for a half an hour to easily come to a conclusion. why is no one mentioning this title reeks of a mediocre consolized game ported to pc for stoned teens, this is not an open world game. I grew up with mad max and I had more than low hopes for this title.     Universe of Mad Max greets player with a mixed bag of somewhat realistic graphics and extremely unrealistic everything else.

    There are two types of main resources of the game: fuel and scrap metal, and they are wasted all the time on nothing. If you kill an enemy driver, the most obvious way of getting resources, is to take the car with all its fuel back home and disassemble it. But the game only let you to ram it until it explodes leaving just a few scraps, barely enough to add a bumper to your car.

    That being said, any amount of damage to your car is fixed in matter of seconds, by tightening one single nut under the hood, and require no resources at all.

    When you enter bandit’s camp, you see literally tons of scrap metal everywhere, including lots of cars and car parts. But you can collect only that one highlighted piece, just because.

    The battle has same issues. You have a huge knife, but you cannot use it in combat. You fight 10 people at the time, but only one of them is engaging to fight you, while others wait in line. They not dumb monsters and you are not batman, so this is ridiculous.

    There is also a magical store, that can convert couple of tons of scrap metal to one pretty shirt in the middle of sand desert. I guess that would be ok for a sci-fi game, but for an apocalyptic game, where people collect water from wind using rugs, this is way out of place.

    I suppose, I could’ve enjoy that game if bandins would look more like crazy zombies or something, and characters would not try to sound so dramatic and serious.

IE, the refill tank and ignite, climb is the same as drop item is the same as pick up is the same as talk is the same as interact, combat is basically 2 buttons with a 3rd thrown in every now and then, all of the finishing moves are the same button. The main quests are very vague and stop you from progressing until you figure out they are trying to tell you something.

    The story is a huge disappointment and honestly ruined the game for me. Had Max made some sense i would have rated this game much higher.    … Expand

    Как Just Cause, только в пустыне и с большим количеством скучного однообразного геймплея. Прошёл и забыл.

    Is it a bad game? Absolutely not. On the contrary, Ubisoft's open-world template is perfect for churning out market-friendly games that tick all the boxes of "What People Want." Or, perhaps, "What You Want."...And honestly, Mad Max's formula is still to some extent "What I Want." Just not as much as a few years ago.

    Mad Max is this year’s equivalent of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor – a really decent open world game that will not disappoint the fans of the franchise and will win over some undecided gamers, but will not be inducted into the industry’s hall of fame alongside Skyrim, GTA, Black Flag or The Witcher 3.     Mad Max is a missed opportunity. The exceptional depiction of the Wasteland, the chaotic nature of the post-apocalyptic society, the excellent technical qualities and thrilling vehicle fights are held back by the mundane melee combat mechanics, the loose story, the repetitive nature of secondary objectives and the overall low-level challenge.
