   I've tried a multitude of Grand Strategy games and this is the best one I've come by. Whether its the amazing attention to detail, theI've tried a multitude of Grand Strategy games and this is the best one I've come by. Whether its the amazing attention to detail, the incredibly involved developers and community, or the feeling that you actually are a leader. Making History has become the Grand Strategy game of my heart, and impresses upon every level. The Developers have taken great care that the game is simple enough to pick up and have a good time. But at the same time, its complex enough that people who "Marry" this game will love exploring every aspect of it. Every facade of being a war leader is either in the game, or coming in a future update. Gone is the overly simple design previous Grand Strategy games have had, gone is the overly complicated games. Muzzy Lane delivers an excellent Grand Strategy game. If the initial release turned you off don't worry. The game gets better every day, and the Developers carefully examine every suggestion turned into them. Making you feel like you are helping with the game, because you are!

The Editor is completely equipped with it, and this is the main reason why it lost two points. The first is because the Edited is not fully Laptop supportive, as you cannot scroll down options easily in Editor. The Second is that Religions and Cultures of Countries cannot be edited AS far as I know. The actual game is very good, fairly quick and fast paced, although I do believe that the next release will need several different eras within the game in order to confirm my purchase. Overall a very good and extensive game.… Expand

   This is exactly like a "Total War" game in WW2 era! The only difference is that it has only campaign map and not battle maps too... whichThis is exactly like a "Total War" game in WW2 era! The only difference is that it has only campaign map and not battle maps too... which means that you play the battles only on the campaign map... However I have to mention that it gives even more strategic possibilities to the player than ''Total War" like to establish new countries in conquered territories! It is the perfect grand strategy game for WW2 era ....and I suggest to all "Total War" fans to buy it with no hesitations!!!!… Expand

I'm going to give the game a 10 instead of 9 because of the way Muzzy Lane has continued to improve the game & listen to suggestions to improve the game, I've never known a company to do this so well done Muzzy Lane. Why don't you give the fully working demo a try you wont be disappointed.… Expand

They will find a much different game than the one they played back then.
   
   The main issues that have been repeated are on the technical side. Frankly, on release, the game was nearly unplayable. THIS HAS CHANGED. Every single major bug and problem has been fixed, as well as significant upgrades to overall performance. Anyone still complaining, it's your computer.
   
   As far as the game itself, it is amazing. It achieves what, in my opinion, is a perfect balance of complexity vs. user-friendliness that most grand strategy games turn me off of. It's far above a glorified game of RISK, but you don't need to go through 8 tutorials just to function, either.
   
   It's main issue is the AI, which, while recently pretty decent, has demonstrated some astoundingly annoying tendencies, the most obvious being the superstacks, which are still in dire need of a fix.
   
   To sum it up, I really enjoy MHII, and I hope others will enjoy future installments. I deducted a point for superstacks because of their frequency, and for the fact that ML DID release an unfinished game, but if you'd like to give it a re-play, it most certainly deserves another look.… Expand

All major bugs have been cleaned up by Muzzy Lane due to the caring they have for their customers. Even to this day, they're removing every last glitch, every minor problem in this game. They take extensive care and listen to every individual voice on the Making History forums. The game was very buggy at release, but that was due to Muzzy Lane releasing their game on the date they said it would be released. They did not want to upset any customers that were highly anticipating the release of the next game in the series, especially the ones who had pre-ordered it.
   
   The game shows many new features and improvements compared to their previous games of "Making History: The calm and the storm" and "Making History: Gold" There are many new units to choose from and many new technological branches to research in the game. The global map is no longer flat, it now allows the user to clearly see mountains that will hinder his troop movements. It also has been divided into more regions to allow more strategy when attacking a nation. Revolts and revolutions can now occur if your nation has annexed too many regions that do not share the same religion or culture as your nation. If you wish to control large quantities of land you must either colonize them or create a new nation. New nations have been added to the game that they player can liberate, such as the post-Yugoslavian countries and the democratic countries that have been established since the Soviet Union.
   
   The game tends to never get old either. No two games are always the same, allowing you to constantly have a good time no matter what nation you play as. New governments also allow you to change your play style of the game. You don't always have to be a dictator of Germany. Now you can choose to make yourself a democratic state and fly the German tricolor over your nation and forge an alliance against communism or fascism.
   
   Over all, I really enjoy this game. I'm still playing since it was released and I feel that everyone is too quick to judge this game. The game isn't anything similar to the game that was released. I've seen how much Muzzy Lane cares about their customers, and that's why they're still improving this game. If you're still not sure about buying the game, you can check out the Making History website and ask any customer on the forums. I guarantee they'll tell you to buy this game.… Expand

The technical support by Muzzy Lane requires the user to download debugging software and perform tasks that a paid Quality Assurance Technician should be performing. Not only would I recommend against buying this game, I would avoid all titles developed by MLS.… Expand
