Set in the Pacific Theatre of Operations from 1941-1944, players will assume the role of Marine recruit Tom Conlin as he survives the attack on Pearl Harbor, leads the assault on Guadalcanal, and finally charges up the beaches for the climatic battle at Tarawa. Armed with their wits and a variety of authentic weapons, it's up to players to stop the Japanese war machine in its tracks. Medal of Honor Pacific Assault follows the tradition of previous Medal of Honor products with a brand new arsenal of weapons, new enemies, and new storyline. In addition, Pacific Assault features new multiplayer modes in which up to 32 players can choose soldiers from American, British, Japanese, and other armies. [Electronic Arts] Expand

  1. This game is a must for fans of history or gaming, offering up a blend of both in a package worthy of Medal of Honor's excellent reputation.
  2. We haven't heard more moving music in a game before. EA hired a real orchestra to play the songs and the results are very well done and help fit the somber mood most of the missions you go on.
  3. On the plus side the Pacific theatre of WW2 is a fresh view of that same old war, everything is about as authentic as it can get without sacrificing playability, and the new features do well to break up what easily could have been yet another WW2-themed FPS. However, the clipping errors, other aggravating issues, and rather weak-sounding weaponry do detract from the overall experience.
  4. If you can't get enough of the WW2 action found in previous MOH and COD titles, then MOH: Pacific Assault will suit up well, but for everyone else, particularly those who like more variation in their FPS gaming, Pacific Assault isn't really a must have title.
  5. At times claustrophobic, with intensely quiet and loud moments, this is a game that fans of the series will welcome.

If there had been more variation on mission type, enemy AI hadn't cheated, and the feel of the weapons had been more solid, the gameplay could have lived up the awesome presentation value that the rest of the package promised.

This is another ugly blunder. Pacific Assault demonstrates that bewildering battle scenes are no equal for clever level design and attention to detail. [Christmas 2004, p.92]

Pros: I'm halfway through the game and am having a killer time. The characters and environments are right up there with Half Life 2 and Pros: I'm halfway through the game and am having a killer time. The characters and environments are right up there with Half Life 2 and Doom. The AI seems cool and the new medic system is brilliant. This is the first medal of honor game with a real story and surprisingly, it's making a nice difference for me, the writing seems like a movie. Cons: Loading times suck, but unlike some other games, it's worth the waiting. Multiplayer performance wasn't great but I have only tried a few servers. Overall: I'd definitley say this is the best medal of honor game yet. I'm glad I got the directors edition, even though EA didn't give me a choice, it has lots of cool stuff. Back to playing. Expand

    Advantages:
    1) Pretty nice graphics. Despite the fact that I played this game in 2018, I did not pay attention to the graphic component and calmly enjoyed the game.
    2) Good shooting physics. It’s nice to shoot a weapon, and finding some kind of machine gun or rifle, you really feel the difference.
    3) Convenient management. Nothing extra.
    4) A fairly atmospheric game. I personally liked how EA implemented the look of the Second World War in this game.
    5) Full Russian localization.
    Disadvantages:
    1) The almost complete lack of plot. I understand that for some games, like Battlefield, the plot is not needed, but if the game does not have a serious binding to the multiplayer, then it should have at least some decent plot.
    2) Characters are boring and uninteresting. Typical heroes of Hollywood action movies, which the four of them can endure an entire army, simply because they are very tough (in the bad sense of the word).
    3) Stupid AI. Stupid cannon fodder, which instead of firing, rushes at you with a gun at the ready.
    4) Monotonous gameplay, which is only sometimes diluted by missions by type of aircraft or cars. The rest of the time you run from point to point and try to stay on this point the only one alive.
    5) Catastrophically small variety of weapons. I can recall only 5 types of weapons (not including pistols and artillery), which could be used constantly. For a shooting-oriented game, this is not enough.

The load times are totally obscene. When I can finish a beer, get another AND use the restroom between getting killed in SINGLE PLAYER mode I The load times are totally obscene. When I can finish a beer, get another AND use the restroom between getting killed in SINGLE PLAYER mode I think a redesign of how the levels get loaded needs to happen. I've got a gig of ram and a 2 gig machine. This is rediculous. The game is well designed and totally fun, but when I only have a few hours after the child goes to bed and before I do, mindless yahoo.com games that load instantly are becoming more appealing. I've been a MOH fan since the first installment. Hopefully the NEXT $40 that EAGAMES takes from me will be more worth it. Try again, guys. Expand

Самая мерзкая часть из всех в которых мне приходилась играть (учитывая версии с PS). Настолько игра плоха, что я не мог поверить, но ни одного светлого момента не было за всю игру, серость и уныние.
