Thanks to Microsoft Flight Simulator, everybody can now get a taste of the excitement that comes with being a pilot. The game is so remarkably good at this that you don’t even need to use your imagination. Your dreams will come true on the screen.

The miracle of flight is something to savour, no matter your seat. Microsoft Flight Simulator not only captures that feeling, it manages to put the entire world in your hands.

The latest version of Microsoft's Flight Simulator series is without a doubt the finest work by Asobo Studios yet, one that took full advantage of Microsoft's mapping technology to create one of the best games ever. Flight Simulator 2020 takes a huge leap forward in terms of visual technologies and sets a whole new standard for the Simulation genre, and things get even more exciting after Asobo announced that the 2020 version is going to be a huge 10-year project and the game that we have our hands on right now is just the beginning.

If you are an experienced pilot and already have X-Plane with premium paid content, you won't upgrade to Microsoft Flight Simulator. Well, not right away. Because if we can find problems with Asobo's baby, none of them is insolvable and will undoubtedly see improvements to strive even more towards perfection. As it stands, Flight Simulator is already a benchmark platform that will undoubtedly establish itself as the civil flight simulation of the decade. Checkmate.

A visionary, landmark release that's built with the long haul in mind. It will take a while for PC hardware to catch up with the game's potential, but despite some early technical turbulence the experience remains dazzling.

Hardcore simmers will love it, and for more casual players it is still undeniably fun.

When all is said and done, Microsoft Flight Simulator in its current state reminds me a lot of Sea of Thieves shortly after launch. The game has a lot of promise and a lot of potential, but it is marred by a number of issues that keep it from really shining. Once the issues have been worked out in six months or a year from now, I fully expect Microsoft Flight Simulator to be a must-have title. Right now, unless you are a hardcore flight sim fanatic, I would pass on buying the premium version and just stick to playing the basic version that's included with GamePass.

The download process was a little trying but straight forward for anyone with more than 5 brain cells.

I'm looking forward to spending many hours flying.

A stunning technical achievement. Controls feel amazing on the standard Xbox One controller, but I have to use the keyboard for the throttle.A stunning technical achievement. Controls feel amazing on the standard Xbox One controller, but I have to use the keyboard for the throttle. This is my game of the year so far. The in depth flight school is very well made I feel like I could fly a plane now. I flew over my house and it actually looked like my house. I also took a flight from Las Vegas Airport and found the Hoover dam and flew over the Grand Canyon. This Beautiful game couldn’t have come out at a better time. This is the safest way to travel the world Expand

Microsoft Flight Simulator (Custom PC - AMD 3900X/nVIDIA 2080 Ti/x2 16 GB 3200 MHz RAM)

(+) Photo-realistic graphics and visual fidelity
(+) A wonderful balance of simulation without the annoying limitations of reality
(+) Impressive A.I. for building the world

(-) Poorly optimized - long load times, frame drops, and crashes
(-) Limited roster of aircraft and pre-built rendered airports for any version at their respective price

(4/5) - Good - Recommended at $49.99 or with Xbox Game Pass

If you have a monster pc and an amazing internet connection then I guess this "sim" isn't that bad which is sad in my opinion, and before someone thinks I have a **** pc, I want to tell you my specs which include an i7-6700k, a GTX 970 and 8GB of RAM which runs pretty much every game I get my hands on pretty damn well. Also for all the potential steam users thinking of buying this disgusting cash grab, just know that they have an "anti" refund policy which includes downloading a 500MB launcher on steam which you are supposed to download the game in, and bear in mind this download is counted as playtime which means no refund for you buddy, though there is a way to refund this garbage and it is making a support ticket with steam and explaining the situation and they will be glad to give your money back to you and if all else fails then just do a Paypal chargeback or credit card chargeback :) Expand

This simulator reminds me of Games for Windows Live.

That score is because I paid for a broken game (YES, GAME, NOT A SIMULATOR).

There is no immersion in a "simulator" that has to be paused at all time to save progress, because the "simulator" can crash at any random time, even if your hardware is not close to the limit, and your internet connection is great.

The only scenario that this game was stable was in the training activities with Cesna.
This game are simulating the stability of Boeing 737 Max MCAS.

I hope to come back here to change that score when this simulator looks playable.
