Monster Energy Supercross 3 is a very fun racing game with a great rhythm, especially if played in a less simulative way. So many modes, intense competition, and a crazy amount of mud...
I have now spent over 30 hours playing this game. Aside from the horrible campaign mode and the lack of instruction, I am starting to like this game. I don't know if the latest patch had anything to do with the fact that I now find this game enjoyable, but something changed. Without a doubt, there is a STEEP learning curve. (Still hate the, "tuff block" physics) However, once you work through the campaign, the game takes on a new feel. I can't explain it. But I am able to actually control my bike and rider. Turn off any and all assists! It will **** at first, but it pays off!
Monster Energy Supercross 3 is a mild upgrade over its predecessor, posing with average boring career, but some fine gameplay improvements in some of its misdoings in past. Multiplayer experience provides a lot of fun though, especially with some of smaller modes of the game, but over time, this upgrade isn’t worth your money if you played earlier installments.
With a multiplayer mode that this time really works, and a rich track editor, Monster Energy Supercross 3 manages to balance out the cons that come from the rather poor career mode and the unnecessary high challenge of the A.I.
Deceptively technical and tricky to master, Monster Energy Supercross 3 is a modest but solid two-wheeled racer with good atmosphere and a great sense of speed. However, the fact the previous two are largely just as good makes it harder to get the heart rate up again, whether exceeding the maximum safe daily dose of Monster or not.
Supercross is by no means a bad game, but I would have a hard time recommending it to someone that isn't already a fan of motocross in general, or the supercross series in particular. If your patient, you'll be rewarded with a solid dirtbike racing sim, but the average racing game fan likely won't have the patience to tolerate the game's shortcomings.
Monster Energy Supercross 3 looks and sounds the part, but it’s more likely to introduce a sensation of deja vroom than actual white knuckle excitement that befits a sensational sport.
Another sequel that takes giant leaps backwards. The first and second game in the series were fun for me and I could generally win each race. This feels as bad as MXGP, the right analog stick is now super difficult to master. The bots are unrealistically insane, they knock you off track and land on you a lot, resulting in player wiping out. Also, started a championship career on 450 because 450 is easier, ran a race, being in second the whole time, game places me at 13th. No reason or penalties listed, game is completely broken. Highly recommend avoiding this garbage. Lifetime boycott was earned for the remainder of this series, and may very well extend to the entire developer! The high greed level is also very evident this time around.
In air physics are not good, rhythm section is impossible, cpu knocks you off track, lands on you constantly. When qualifying you always place last even with good laps. Cpu does everything perfect when doing everything the computer is doing. When getting a lead off the gate first turn get taken out by cpu. On corners bike washes out every time, bike wheels constantly. Whips are not the same, it doesn’t help at all like in years past
This game ****! BOTs are just overpowered. PLS FIX BOTS. On difficulty very easy they are IMPOSSIBLE. PLS FIX GAME. BOTs ram you and crash you so game can reset you and you go all the way 22th place. **** THIS GAME! FIX YOUR ****ING GAME OK?
