It's visually better, richer in content and more comprehensive in terms of gameplay compared to its predecessor. It will definitely make you spend time with it until the arrival of MK XI.

Mortal Kombat X is ridiculous amount of fun, maintaining the core of what’s made the franchise successful while evolving enough to stay relevant.
  3. Mortal Kombat X is furthering the story that was presented in Mortal Kombat 9. New characters, graphics and combat system is changing everything you know about Mortal Kombat universe. It's one of the best fighting games we have seen so far.
  4. It’s still the same fun and crazy fighting that demands from the player exactly as much as he wants to give. You can gather your friends and simply mash buttons to enjoy bloody spectacle, or you can spend hours perfecting your techniques to compete with professional players. No matter how you choose to play it, MKX will find something to offer. [June 2015, p.64]

MKX will last you for a long time. A few variations of the usual Arcade Mode, some dumb mini-games, online multiplayer, a lengthy story campaign, and, finally, Krypt… Not all changes to gameplay mechanics are obvious, but they do make the game more dynamic.

Excellent fighting mechanics and an incongruously good story hampered by serious performance issues. [June 2015, p.56]

Not a komplete katastrophe, but you should employ kaution when deciding if Mortal Kombat X is right for you on PC. It's a great game, but one that's krippled by bugs.

The fights have new revamped animation stepping up from MK9 making the fights combined with bone crunching sounds and fast pacing very intense and enjoyable. The only complaint i have is that the story could have been better this is a Mature rated game and i would like the story to reflect that.

P.S People that gave this game a 0/10 because of the wait should probably reevaluate their score,
be mature and stop being another entitled gamer your giving us all a bad name.

This is the first time I tried playing a Fighting-Game and I really wasn´t disappointed! The Game is great to play when you have friendsThis is the first time I tried playing a Fighting-Game and I really wasn´t disappointed! The Game is great to play when you have friends coming over and just want some quick-action, 1v1-gameplay. Fights are decided in a BO3 (Best of Three) and the many characters offer a variety of different playstyles. I finished the story and it was a great way to try out new characters, experiment with combos and to have a quick overview of the many different combat aspects of the fighters. Whilst I haven´t tried out the multiplayer yet i can already say that the Krypt (which is basically an interactive shop) has unique artworks, fatalities/brutalities, new outfits and fanart to unlock and is very interesting for collectors.

Overall this is a very fun game to play and the best way is to play it with some friends at a Gaming-/Drinking-Evening!

Overall, MKX is a poor title. At the end of the day you will end up being bored to tears fighting against the same cookie-cutter combos onlineOverall, MKX is a poor title. At the end of the day you will end up being bored to tears fighting against the same cookie-cutter combos online or you will end up being annoyed as much as it is possible fighting against your typical MK input reading AI. Medium difficulty is definitely too easy, while hard difficulty reads your inputs even outside the actual gameplay (eg. if you practice input during the loading screen, the AI character will counter it immediately).

The game mechanics are still beyond terrible, and the game does a really poor job explaining them (eg. grabs work in absolutely different way than the game informs you). The balance is absolutely off - people will play Scrubpion, Erron, Ermac and few other one overpowered combo characters (punch walk ftw), while some characters are just terribly, terribly weak (Ferra/Tor, Mileena and others).

It's a fun game for a while and living towers can deliver few minutes of entertainment. It's a safe bet for 5 €. 50 € - just no.

MKX is the Windows 8 of MK games. Did you want Scorpion to be a maskless normal human? Did you want the old characters killed off to make roomMKX is the Windows 8 of MK games. Did you want Scorpion to be a maskless normal human? Did you want the old characters killed off to make room for the Mousecateer new kids on the block? Less sexy female bodies and outfits? (Meanwhile the gore is higher then ever) Well to bad! The direction of MK is going down a dark path, riddled with DLC's and poor story direction, MK is heading for some rough roads ahead... WB will squeeze every nickel and dime out of the series.

On the plus side, the graphics are good, an improvement over MK9 (However, many of the characters look terrible close up in the face regions, just the geometry of there face is off.) and the combat is pretty amazing (Even if there's a lack of rings, and no ring fatalities)

So even the good has bad in it. I would say pass on this game.

I don't know about the console version but the PC version of this game is dead thanks to a shoddy port with bad net code and now we are toldI don't know about the console version but the PC version of this game is dead thanks to a shoddy port with bad net code and now we are told that the PC version will not receive any further updates, DLC or better net code. Neither the developer nor publisher has provided an explanation for this so PC players of the game are left with an inferior product despite paying just as much money as the people who bought it on consoles. It's bad business practice and unethical. Expand

I don't give a **** about your excuses for this **** you are the head of development team, the main guy so it's your personal fault as well.
