NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits with its gameplay ideas is an interesting take on the jump'n'run genre, the play experience mostly sullied by unfair checkpoints. On a technical level, the PC version can't however deny the Wii roots. And Topware's box version is flat-out overpriced.

While the asking price is rather low it is still about five times higher than it needed to be. While Nyx doesn't ever manage to do anything truly offensive during the course of play, most of the time invested would probably be used better somewhere else.

Good atmospheric music, controls are a bit strange, as I find movement best with the left hand arrow keys but the game requires you to use the mouse a lot of the time, but often you'll have to move and do stuff with the mouse at the same time. WASD movement is also available. Anyway, it's a good game. Short and sweet. I've been playing for 2-3 hours and i'm a bit more than halfway through the game. And i'm a fairly cautious gamer. Replay value is probably none. Still, I heartily recommend it :) Expand
