Paranormasight is a masterpiece. With a dizzying web of interwoven narratives, an uncanny ability to blur the lines of fact and fiction, and a thoroughly thrilling atmosphere, it’s truly the gold standard of engaging visual novels and a must for anyone fascinated by the deliciously dark world of the supernatural and the occult.
Paranormasight: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo is one of the most surprising games we've experienced in a good while. Its overarching narrative, while initially quite heavy on exposition, is wonderfully told, interweaving the lives of multiple protagonists and tasking the player with progressing their stories in meaningful ways. The puzzles are fantastic, the characters well realised, and the visuals top-notch, making those brief moments of horror and terror exceedingly effective. It's an experience we fully recommend going into with as little information as possible, as this will prove to be an incredibly memorable experience; one that can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Switch's best visual novels.
Overall a phenomenal visual novel from beginning to end. In some regards, it can be a bit hard to follow— especially when picking it back up after a while (though it's easy enough to follow along and recall information), but it is genuinely amazing to play. It flowed like water in my hands and through my mind, and made hours seem like minutes. I felt the conclusion was strong, but the real strength lies in the journey through this amazing, amazing game. Anyone with a love for VNs, or looking for a breathtakingly good atmosphere with impeccable writing, Paranormasight: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo is the diamond you've been looking for. If it hits your tastes, you'll walk out with a new favorite, like I have.
It's really good. II think is Better to go blind. Cuanto más a ciegas vayas más lo vas a disfrutar, para fans de jeugos como zero escape o ace attorney.
PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo is a gripping page-turner of a visual novel. It occupied my brain so much that every second not playing felt like a second wasted. It felt like I was hit with so many fitting and bending twists I was second-guessing everything I once knew, always on my toes. Immensely powerful and engaging writing in-game is bolstered with memorable and distinguished characters. Those characters and the late 20th century Japan setting are incredibly realised; a feat only possible by the industry legends at the helm. In art, music and writing, players are in for a meaningful and unforgettable experience that’s a must-play for the genre. Better yet, it even has fun with the genre tropes and traditions, creating engaging puzzles and problem-solving throughout. If there’s one visual novel game you play this year, make it this one. You won’t regret it.
A gripping mystery visual novel that enriches the exciting story with a few clever puzzles, the latter of which unfortunately falls short over the entire duration of the game.
Sumida and its urban legends come to life in PARANORMASIGHT in a way I didn’t expect from a 2D visual novel. I expected something artistic, yes, but I got something that engaged me, sent a shiver down my spine, and that I ultimately couldn’t put down.
The Switch version of Paranormasight: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo is awful. It’s not ready to be played right now, because the menu navigation is straight-up broken. The game needs a patch with cursor sensitivity options at the very minimum, but even that fix would still make for a lazy port, that isn’t console ready. The story of Paranormasight: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo is captivating, and the throwback point-and-click adventure gameplay will be a treat for some. But the game needs more time and effort to be an enjoyable experience.
I made an account just for this game because it is a crime that it's so underrated and unknown. I get visual novel esque games aren't for everyone, but this is one of the best of the bests in it's genre. This is one of those games that is best experiencing without knowing anything about it; if you remotely enjoy visual novel - adventure games, not playing paranormasight would be a disservice to both it's creative team and to yourself.
Great game that is getting review bombed for some reason with 1/10 ratings. If you enjoy games like 999, ai: somnium files and danganronpa this one should be right up your alley.
Idk who is giving this game negative reviews but they did not play it there is absolutely no way this game being 15.99 and the story I just witnessed could be rated negative. I can’t even see this game getting a 7/10 but out of the fact that not everyone likes the same thing that is the absolute lowest I could see someone rating this game. As for me this game is an easy 10 if you are a horror fan then on top of that a VN fan do not miss out on this game!!!!!
Although the peak of it's gameplay is in it's prologue, Paranormasight offers a intriguing mystery/horror story, with a well-written cast and beautiful art direction.
Un juegazo, una joya que pasará desapercibida para muchos. Como dicen las demás reviews, mejor jugarlo sin tener ni idea. Sorprende con sus giros y con el uso de la interfaz. Muy muy recomendado.
