PC Building Simulator is one of the better entries in the genre, with nice touches of authenticity and attention to detail. It's too limited and simplistic to replicate the experience of putting a rig together yourself, but it does a good enough job to get you started in the right direction.

PC Building Simulator is a good idle experience. Here you can learn how a PC is made, but forget to learn how to build one seriously thanks to the game.

Although the game wouldn't necessarily be finished, it makes it fun to build expensive machines without having to spend a fortune. DLCs are pretty cheap and great, like the ASUS ROG workshop. The game is also pretty lightweight, being able to run on modern iGPUS like the HD 620 if you mod in an FPS booster and lower the resolution and graphics. I would recommend this game to anyone looking to learn a skill or play a relaxing game. Expand

If you're interested in learning about PC hardware and how you could possibly build your own PC, this game might be up your alley.

There are 3 modes within the game, one can be described as a short tutorial for the game, one is a free-build mode and the final one is the career mode. Career mode has you play as a technician repairing computers sent in whilst limited by money and bills whereas free-build allows you to build to your heart's desire.

Sometimes there's some weird rendering with the graphics, but overall if you want a game that you could pass some hours on or learn about potentially building your own PC - this is a decent game for that.

Now here is your chance! On the digital reality, of course... PCBS provides a decent opportunity to dive into building a rig with sufficient hints to scratch your brain around daily issues,. if you're a fresh meat. This is kinda where the "simulation" ends as many features and job tasks are quite limited, still props for the game devs attempting to recreate nerd party. The renders of parts seem graphically fixed, same with low-poly animations rendered in native 1080p. As of current writing, the game still has a handful of parts not worth checking out as the pace of progression is tremendously slow. Give it a shot on a discount or wait another 8 months to a year when the devs refresh the game with more lineups... PCBS has a career mode (recreates "running a tech shop" business) and free mode which allows to build any rig you desire. Expand

    - Graphics settings Low vs Highest are not much different. They used Unity Game Engine to make the game, that's why it's really bad at graphics and performance.
    - The inventory UI has stupid design, because they separate the same PC components which also have the same specifications into new Inventory Slots. That make the game freeze every time opening the Inventory.
    - I bought some part from shop (motherboard, RAM, Cooler,...) at once for more hundred $$$. In the next day, they only sent me 1 cooler fan, and the other parts have disappeared in the air.

    *WTF is this game..!
