  • Summary: Out of cash, out of luck, out on the fringe. Juno Markev has a killer to tail, a debt to pay, and more trouble headed her way. In the Dodge Sector it’s hard to get by – and even harder to get even.

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw, like the first, is a single-player only affair, which might disappoint some. It shouldn’t, though. There are easily tens of hours worth of adventure in just a single playthrough. With the ability to take different paths, replayability is high. Outlaw improves on an already great game in all the right ways and the result is the best open-space adventure in years.

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw represents a true spiritual successor to Freelancer and similar games. If you are a fan of spaceship shooters and simulators this game is a must-have. Even with a few minor faults, it is worth the admission ticket.

Among the many insights offered in Rebel Galaxy Outlaw, it knows that if there’s one thing better than cruising around in a sweet ride blowing stuff up and flying through their explosions, it’s cruising around in a sweet ride blowing stuff up and flying through their explosions while listening to sweet tunes.

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw lives up to its name among space sims. It’s spirited, good-looking and vibrant, effectively spraying several cans of blue and pink graffiti over the existing space sim template. None of its systems are particularly deep, but skimming along over them can be an exhilarating journey.

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw brings a smaller scope and simplified controls to a sometimes intimidating genre, watering down the grandeur of spaceflight, but making it more fun and accessible at the same time. Its repetitive missions and sparse narrative weigh it down, but its fantastically engaging dogfights make it an easy recommendation.

Anyone who likes the idea of being a bounty hunter in space will enjoy their time with Rebel Galaxy Outlaw. Just don’t expect the casino to blow you away.

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw manages to take plenty of familiar elements and whisk them together into a completely original package. The dusty trucker atmosphere combined with the sharp and agile dogfighting gameplay kept me engaged for hours, although the back-tracking and cash grinding wore me out before too long. Even with those issues, there's something special about the aesthetic of Rebel Galaxy Outlaw that demands the attention of anyone looking for some good, dirty spaceship action.

(If you want to use a HOTAs or something... see ya later)

This game is designed for a game-pad, and if you use a game-pad it's great. I have throttle as my mouse wheel, and all works great.

This is making Wing Commander Privateer or pick your late 90's space economic game and updating it, while keeping the look and feel decidedly of the throw-back time period. The Music is GREAT too, the voice acting I also enjoy, and I love the look and feel of the game.

The story starts off slow, as it should, and you can pick and choose what you want to do. Investigating every system, all points of interest, and making cash and learning the game takes some time, but it's enjoyable.

You have to be careful when you start off, you may take on missions you CANNOT win, and that's intended, you start off in a glorified space-tugboat... can't take out actual heavy fighters in it. DUH. You gotta grind up, just like in the good old games this is a homage to.

Getting into mining isn't something you look at right away, but it's also fun. This game is FUN. I've killed a lot of time on it so far and look forward to finishing with my work today so I can do a few more missions and check out 1 or 2 new systems.

This game will lend itself to amazing DLC's, MODS and expansions!

The game is SUPERB. I always wanted to get into Elite Dangerous and such but found it to hard and to much of a simulator. This is basically the opposite, it is more alike to an arcade game.
And boy is it fun once you get your first ship upgrade!

Do yourself a favor again, and bind "target nearest enemy" to right thumb stick up.

The one liners when fighting people are pretty great!
One of my favorite games growing up was Wing Commander: Privateer. If you played that and enjoyed it at all, you owe it to yourself to check this game out!
If you want a super realistic space sim, with a super dynamic economy, rendering the entire mikly way.... this isn't it.
If you want to have fun blowing stuff up in space while rocking out to a great soundtrack, this is definitely it.

. While the first game focused on large ship battles with broadside cannon engagements, Rebel Galaxy Outlaw is a story prequel, putting you in the cockpit of light fighters playing the mother of the original games' protagonist.

It is now exclusively available on the Epic Games Store until around Aug 2020, at which time it will expand to a Steam release as well as other possible platforms.

It plays like it was designed by idiots who suck. The worst, ugliest human models I have ever seen in any game ever. This includes some of the most awful amateur games that have ever darkened the doors of anyone's PC.

It would take a battalion of the greatest artists, coders, designers and voice actors a million years to purposely replicate such an abortion of a video game. Wanting my money back is an understatement. I want to be compensated two million US dollars for each minute I had to suffer through this steaming pile of garbage.
