A series of strange disappearances have been occurring in the American Midwest within a place called Racoon City. A specialist squad of the police force known as S.T.A.R.S. has been investigating the case, and have determined that the pharmaceutical company Umbrella and their biological weapon, the T-Virus, are behind the incidentsthough they've lost several members in the process. Jill Valentine and the other surviving S.T.A.R.S. members try to make this truth known, but find that the police department itself is under Umbrella's sway and their reports are rejected out of hand.

However, soon reports of a grisly "cannibal virus" begin to surface, and vicious dogs begin roaming the streets. With the viral plague spreading through the town and to her very doorstep, Jill is determined to survive.
However, unbeknownst to Jill, an extremely powerful pursuer has already been dispatched to eliminate her.

Resident Evil 3 is a stellar remake of a survival-horror classic that honors the past, while updating the game with contemporary graphics and controls.

Resident Evil 3 retells the story of Jill's desperate escape from the doomed Raccoon City, using an intriguing plot and more fleshed out characters than the original. It falls short of the sheer amount of content its predecessors had, but it excels in moment to moment gameplay which it delivers in spades.

In the end, Resident Evil 3 is own nemesis, a remake that's enjoyable but seems a little shallow when compared to the innovations the RE3 that came before it brought to the table.

Resident Evil 3 is a decent horror-action game that falls short of the Resident Evil 2 standard.

Fundamentally, Resident Evil 3 is two great chase scenes, four awesome boss fights, and a bunch of mediocre filler to make up the rest of the running time. It’s a magnificent, breathtaking ride the first time through, but once that initial ride is over, it becomes a competent zombie shooter and little else.

If you’re looking for the authentic Resident Evil experience, this is definitely not it. But if you have a Resident Evil itch that you just need to scratch, this could provide lots of hours of entertainment for you, even without the Resident Evil Resistance standalone experience. But at the end of the day, I’d rather just play the excellent Resident Evil 2 Remake, or even the original Resident Evil 3 on my old PS2 instead.

Resident Evil 3 is essentially a chain of action set-pieces, threaded together with a paper-thin story and a few too many cutscenes. This is the direction the series started to take post-Resident Evil 4, when it seriously lost its way and we ended up with the abysmal Resident Evil 6, and I'd hate to see that happen again.

Great game. Yes it is short, yes they cut out some content but no, it's not a ''rushed garbage''. People don't know what a rushed game is. TheGreat game. Yes it is short, yes they cut out some content but no, it's not a ''rushed garbage''. People don't know what a rushed game is. The game might be short but what it has, is very fun and enjoyable. Great character development, great dialogues, good variety of monsters, fun boss fights. Map should've been semi-open world though. To me, It's actually a 7.5/10 and if it was a couple of hours longer ,it could've been a 9 but **** it, all of these crybabies abusing the system, giving it a 0 when a 0 is hardly a decent review. Lazy ass Capcom on a guaranteed buy. Why should they even bother to do a great game or improve it's latest work? They already have the moneyLazy ass Capcom on a guaranteed buy. Why should they even bother to do a great game or improve it's latest work? They already have the money on all the "pre purchase" (800k+ copies sold) people supporting bad strategies that hurt not the gaming industry but the final user which is us that lead us to this moment; all for a "classic outfit" which is a stupid short and a Carlos hairstyle... (I do think that if they did something better than the original it was Carlos' appearance.) So much potential in one of my favorite games of all time that make me love the RE franchise, and so badly rushly, poorly executed just to deliver games consistently in an acceptable time period for $$$.

I'll get it that's what a company should always prioritize right? But hey! Don't you worry they are already "working" on their next prank which we already know it is not going to be the fan claimed Code Veronica.

Well, the game is about 5 -6 hrs. I never felt the game was challenging not even in managing resources or punishing for bad management/decisions or just playing bad. On my first playthrough on hardcore I've got 72% completion and my box full of ammo, herbs and resources. I can even use my multiple saves to farm records...

They prefered to cut puzzles and storytelling to avoid working on a lot of different scenarios but we got a more "action based" if by dodging and always having a linear and restricted scenario where you should always be rushing forward you can called it that. They tried a weird hybrid RE that attempted to bring new players and old ones like if they never learned for a disaster recipe that is. (Note that if by reducing/removing the 100+ hollywood explosions, zombies with weapons and never dying characters on crazy **** situations on RE6 I did liked that game and I think the progression system, the shop, customization to fit different play styles and different stories merging together were GREAT)

RE3 2020 never excels in absolutely nothing but well it IS fun and I like it, you already know the mechanics, they even recycled the stupid zombies from RE2 for fcks sake the same fckn faces and outfits, so lame. Well guys you will get a "cinematic experience" on this RE3 but keep your expectations low.

The game is fun just very disappointing in a lot of ways.

I won't even cover the stupid multiplayer that in a few weeks there should be close to no one playing it, if not sooner, that "replaced" the fckn awesome Mercenaries so yeah' if this is on your wishlist you can grab it on sale. Not worth it on full price or as a "just released" buy. IMO Don't waste more than $20 on this not worth it.

They always come back to action. RE3 is another try to be a blockbuster movie, instead of our usual survival horror game. It's a cheap try to be another RE6, except it still costs $60. Why couldn't they simply double down on what they did on RE2R or RE7? Oh god, I guess we'll never know. Expand

    2. The whole essence of Nemesis was shown in the demo, in the full game, all the other meetings with him do not cause delight, it's just scripts and chases.
