Ultimately, the best way to look at Saints Row The Third Remastered is as the best version of a 2011 video game. There are things that haven't held up, certainly, and some visual elements are definitely outdated. But for all its warts, both in the ideological and technical sense, The Third represents a better era for gaming. An era before the line between games-as-a-service and single-player experiences were blurred. An era before Ubisoft singlehandedly made open-world games less interesting. An era before Borderlands would set the standard for video game comedy with its egregious blend of yelling humor and memes.
Saints Row The Third finally comes to current-gen platforms with the best version ever of the game. Not only resolution is higher, but there is support for unlocked frame-rate and HDR, and nearly every aspect of the graphics has been upgraded or reworked from scratch. If you missed this game before, this is your best chance to play it.

Just as ridiculous and fun as you remember, and the new coat of paint and modern upgrades make it an adventure that you'll want to take on even if you've already experienced it before. Fans who missed out on the original also owe it to themselves to see what all the fuss was about, because if they do they will find quite a lot to love. It's not perfect mind you, but honestly, you'll be having too much fun to really care about its flaws.
If you've never played Saints Row: The Third then this is the case. The absences and most of the shortcomings of the original title remain and today they can't be justified.
Saints Row The Third returns with a solid remaster that offers everything you loved from the original game, but with better graphics. You'll find tons of extra content with a lot of missions and crazy challenges.
Saints Row: The Third is a game with an identity crisis, both within the context of its story and outside of it.
Saints Row: The Third Remastered can coast on some its nostalgic value. Its multitude of upgrade systems provide the necessary carrots to fulfill a true Saints-like power fantasy and its visuals do look better than ever. And while its humor just barely gets out alive, the other parts of the game — like the incessant, anger-inducing ragdolling, banal side mission design, and lack of new content — aren’t as funny. It’s a dildo bat that still has some heft behind its swing, but it’s gone pretty flaccid in the ensuing nine years.

Nice open world game. It's funny and it can be engaging although story wasn't really clear for me. There is a lot of brilliant touches such as main characters singing in car the song on the radio! For sure saints 3 were made with a lot of love and it's visible. Soundtrack is amazing and some of the story missions are just really unexpected and it's really good because sometimes gameplayloop can be tedious and boring. Overall it's a pretty good game.

Visually looks great, the combat is fun (although some of the upgrades are a bit OP). Graphically while it holds its own in 2023, some of the humour maybe hasn't aged quite as well, and some of the scenes had me wincing a little akin to Major's "West Indies" monologue in Fawtly Towers. Maybe a bit more grindy than it needed to be, the assassination and car theft missions get tedious after a while, but overall, a pretty fun 40 hours.

Overrated asf.
Everybody complaining sooo much about the reboot and I understand that but this game isn't any better: The story, characters, physics and missions are quite frankly just pathetic. Can't think of anything good to be honest.
