This is VR's "Matrix Jump Program"
First time players will be blown away.

Cyberpunk badass ninja FPS RPG slice and dice em up with guns and bullet time. Short on story but a hell of a lot of fun.

for an early access game on steam, this VR title throws a lot of heavy punches! i thought the locomotion (jumps, dashes and double jumps) would turn me into a walking vomit blender within seconds but surprisingly, it didn't. in fact, i enjoyed it so much that if only i could, i would practically jump about all throughout the game if not for the 'focus' recharge. that's saying a lotfor an early access game on steam, this VR title throws a lot of heavy punches! i thought the locomotion (jumps, dashes and double jumps) would turn me into a walking vomit blender within seconds but surprisingly, it didn't. in fact, i enjoyed it so much that if only i could, i would practically jump about all throughout the game if not for the 'focus' recharge. that's saying a lot considering my motion sickness is towards the really bad side; i can't even look at my phone while in a moving car.

the double jump feature and movie-like slowmo mechanics are executed beautifully and really throw me into a badass, gun-slinging, katana-yielding ninja mode. the visual concept is very interesting and quite unique (mix of futuristic and traditional japanese elements) but i think the overall graphics can be better in terms of lighting and effects. it would also be great if players can see the main character, maybe at the main menu in the dojo?

having said that, i'm definitely looking forward to the full launch because the devs are promising some pretty awesome updates and are quite responsive to feedback and comments from the community. my favorite vr game as of the moment!

I would say I am a fan, but that would sell short how I really feel... like family. Virtual Reality is really just beginning to scratch the surface of how we can game together so everyone is a pioneer at the time in VR life... so for these awesome men and women to not only take a plunge into the unknown of VR, but to make this game on their first full attempt at a AAA Title is mind boggling. The jump system, the slow motion, the running on walls, the sounds, visuals, and immersion are letting you experience a world of danger and excitement without any danger. To think this is only their FIRST attempt at this, is almost unreal. It might seem I'm talking more about the team at Mixed Realms than the actual game, but that only because I want to relay what you really get with this game. You get a small independent team with less resources, less (wo)man power, and yet no shortage of heart or listening. Making for a HUGE team. They have told everyone they are still going to tweak small things and add content here and there to the now finished version of the game... and we have no reason to see them not fulfill those intentions after everything they did with the gamers in Early Access.

For me and my family at VR Playland they delivered an amazing experience and if you missed out on the early access of Sairento, no worries. Play it now and if you enjoy it we suggest you definitely join any future rides the Mixed Realm family decides to make into the journey of Virtual Reality. Thank you guys and gals truly for your hard work, dedication, unbridled respect, and the most incredible Ninja experience ever had for loving hearts who don't want to be ACTUAL Ninja Assassins :P

Not many VR games at the moment give players the unbridled experience of leaping through the air, swooping down in slow motion, guns ablazing and swords flashing, before finally landing to deal a lethal blow to an enemy. I was promised that I would feel like an action super star playing Sairento VR and the promise was delivered. Absolutely my favorite VR game to date!

Despite this being an early access, Sairento has shown great potential. Just when I thought that bullet time and physics-defying leaps alone can make me feel like a total bada$$, I am able to FREAKIN WALL RUN in the latest iteration! For players who bought this game during the winter sales, there will be some getting use to. But for new players, you will definitely be impressed. Trust me, investing some time to perfect your movements is absolutely worth it.

Just a handful of maps and weapons at the moment [ I mean, come on, it is Early Access], but I had SO MUCH FUN. As the movements allow you to travel quickly around the map, I found myself twisting and turning (physically) while slicing up my enemies. Feelin totally like a kick@ss samurai!

Some RPG elements with the chest and skills. Will give it a 10/10 if it is able to record my gameplay from a 3rd person perspective. I bet I look pretty cool fighting with two enemies :)

My favourite VR game at the moment Given the rate the devs are upgrading the game, I am keeping my fingers crossed that this will remain my favourite for a long time!

Interesting locomotion mechanics. Gives a bit of a Borderlands/Diablo 3 vibe with the loot system. Graphics could use a bit of work but still a lot of fun otherwise.

Had a great time with this game. Was flying around like a bad*** ninja. Pretty satisfying as compared to the current selections out there.

Devs are quite responsive too. Currently they have my support. Hope they don't disappoint!

Relatively new to the VR gaming scene but am completely blown away by this game. Loving the high quality graphics down to the details and of course the fantastic game-play. The ease of maneuvering for a first person shooter is not what I expected. It took me awhile to get adjusted to the controls but it was so much fun when I finally master it.

I played for 4 hours straight and was really excited throughout. I could feel the adrenaline rush almost the entire time while playing it but moving forward, I think it would definitely be much more fun and really kick-ass if there could be more variety of maps and enemies (like maybe a huge huge boss 10x the size of the character!) and best if multiplayer can be made available! I have high hopes for more to come from these guys! This is really good stuff!

Had an amazing time, the slow motion fighting experience is like nothing else I've found in any other game yet! My top 3 games I've played all year! Excited to see how it develops even further because it's already amazing. Definitely, recommend it!

For an indie VR title, the devs sure are ambitious and it shows in the gameplay and options available. I haven't tried the campaign yet, but the standalone missions have been very fun. Only complaint is the AI not being very intelligent.

Sairento VR manages to do something very few VR games achieves.

You're not fighting the VR here. As you get good in the game, you become a proverbial angel of death. Dodging, slicing, shooting, ducking enemies more elegantly and with more precision than you could ever do in a non-VR game. unless the game control does the moves for you.

The first time you land in a corridor and manage to do a bullet time, raising your hands in both directions and killing your enemies without even looking at them, that's when you feel the true glory of this this game.

It's not necessarily a masterpiece in the classic sense. As a game has the bare-bone essentials to keep you occupied for 20+ hours, a rarity in VR games - but a lot of the appeal to play again is that you become better and more elegant. And there are quirks and issues that will crop up.

But as an experience I think it is absolutely brilliant. In this game the VR makes you feel powerful and smooth. Not like you are fighting the VR system to fit into an ordinary game.

And that is why I give it a 10.

Sairento is the only VR action game that has a lot of different combat options and succeeds in most of them. Melee weapons, firearms, bow - all are pretty good by themselves, while slo-mo, gory decapitations and awesome movement mechanics elevate them to being absolutely amazing. Throwing is a bit clunky, because it is performed with trigger buttons instead of grip buttons.

Traversing locations is a blast, there are tons of options, if you don't have VR motions sickness. All of the awesome moves from Hong Kong action films are present: jumps, dashes, slides, wallruns, back/front/side-flips.

Main gameplay loop is very close to Shadow Warrior 2: you mix story campaign with procedurally generated side missions, getting XP and tons of randomly generated loot. But here this grindy formula works way better, because of the engaging and diverse combat.

Visuals are fine but very demanding: I personally have severe screen stuttering problems on 1070Ti when there are to many enemies and projectiles around.

Overall, Sairento is an epitome of VR action and a must-play.

Great game. Played it's earliest version in 2016 and stuck with it to the 1.0 release. Even the earliest version was insanely fun at the time. This game sports some of the best VR locomotion developed so far, and it just feels great. The game also has an online coop mode, but the real draw is the single-player experience.

The jumping and slow mo features combine with a wide variety of weapons to make pulling off awesome trick shots and quick kills a breeze. At first, I was dismayed as I was expecting more of an action game which the game still is, but it's more methodical and strategical: it's more about figuring out where the enemy is going and the best way to slice your way through a crowd as you fly through the air in slow mo than it is just brute force hacking and slashing your way to the end. When the game works, it's some of the most fun in VR.

However, that's a big if: I experienced frequent crashes, random hangs, and enough clipping through walls and floors that even Bethesda would be saying "woah, where was QA on this one?" It seemed that every time I was getting into the groove, I'd jump straight through a wall and have to restart the mission.

The other big letdown is the story. Without getting into spoilers, I found its twists and turns to be extremely predictable, and the ending is one of the biggest letdowns I've seen in a long time. The story missions themselves are fun, but the narrative is rough.

With all that being said, I'm giving this game an 8 because the core gameplay mechanics really are a blast and the sense of power you get from physically spinning around blasting multiple enemies before you hit the ground is unmatched in any other VR game I've played. It's just a shame it's such a buggy mess.

Overall, Sairento VR is a fun experience and one that is far more complete than most VR gaming experiences out there. With it you get a good story, fantastic gameplay mechanic design and a good set of multi-tiered levels to use those mechanics in. This is more than just a gimmicky, short experience, which most VR games slip under these days, as it is a bright spot in a sea of VR shipwrecks.

Action is at the center of experience and represents a successful mix of furious movements, blood, bullets and sparks. Unfortunately, the title stumbles on a glance stylistically uninteresting and technically far from exceptional.
