  1. The plot this time is loaded with not so surprising reversals and twists. As Sam & Max veterans we have learned by now to expect the unexpected. Perhaps we have become jaded. Like Max, we like it that way.
  2. As a finale, it’s far superior to last year’s effort. As an adventure game, it’s quite simply one of the best you’ll find on the PC today.

What's New, Beelzebub? is Telltale's development team at the top of its game and is a perfect way to end Season Two.
  4. The price tag for these games feels about right for the number of hours that come out of them, and I find myself going back and replaying earlier episodes, which helps me to feel that I got the bang I want for my buck.
  5. The second season has increased the difficulty with each episode, and Beelzebub has some really tricky puzzles.
  6. It's funny, its puzzles are satisfying, and, as Anthony mentioned, is a fine example of episodic gaming's potential.

The artists are on form, even if the writers are coasting. [June 2008, p.89]

An excellent finale to the second season! Loads of great and memorable jokes/moments. Fantastic depiction of Hell in a modern environment. andAn excellent finale to the second season! Loads of great and memorable jokes/moments. Fantastic depiction of Hell in a modern environment. and censorship lol that was the best part of tha game. Although a bit dated by today's standards, this game still holds up super well in my eyes and is the best entry in the Sam & Max Telltale Games series. Expand

Once again, solid conclusion to the Season, which seems longer than Season 1 (although, I might be mistaking).

    Full of surprises, Season 2
Once again, solid conclusion to the Season, which seems longer than Season 1 (although, I might be mistaking).

Full of surprises, Season 2 arches nicely, uniting partially revealed main story and subplots of other episodes. Characters are more developed, voice acting is superb, jokes witty and pleasant, and Max – well – is Max!

    ENJOY!
