Feb 1, 2023SEASON: A letter to the future is a soothing and immersive world of exploration and atmosphere. It’s an easy recommendation for indie lovers with an appetite for adventure and discovery. The game revels in beautiful fidelity and a wonderful art style, containing a journey of memory, storytelling and community.

Jan 26, 2023It took me eight hours to reach the conclusion, but Season doesn’t waste a moment — even if at times all I do is sit on a bench and look out over the landscape. I’m not sure I made all the best decisions along the way, and I’m tempted to run through the world again to see how things might have gone differently. It’s not for everyone, but I suspect SEASON: A letter to the future will be one of my favorite games this year.

Feb 11, 2023I feel like calling SEASON "the Death Stranding of indie games". SEASON is a very meaningful game where you can deeply feel that loneliness, music, sounds and the feeling of "keeping memories alive".

Jan 26, 2023Despite some odd gameplay choices, Season: A letter to the future provides a unique narrative, highly immersive gameplay experience, and impeccable visuals, making it an easy recommendation for indie game lovers.

Feb 8, 2023A thought-provoking game that makes you think about Estelle's world, but also about our own, a meditation about what's important to us and worth saving. You'll learn a lot - about Estelle, but also about yourself and the decisions you make in the time that you have left.

Jan 26, 2023Season: A Letter to the Future might not last long, but it's a lovely experience for anyone who enjoys taking their time, piecing together lore, and photographing everything they see.

Jan 26, 2023SEASON is a poetic, meditative game, but it often bluntly calls too much attention to its intentions, especially with fussy dialogue like “I feel a dulcet tension in the air.” Then again, it does capture the soothing sensation that comes from immersing oneself in another world and learning about it, and with the exception of the game’s final encounter, it’s nothing if not consistent. In the end, SEASON isn’t about answers so much as it is about coping with loss. As one character puts it, repeating one word like a mantra, time always moves on: flow, flow, flow.
