    Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun was one of my favorite games of 2017, and Aiko’s Choice is a return to form. Mimimi Games continues to deliver tight gameplay, incredible stealth, and a compelling story to tie it all together.

    It’s just three new missions without new characters or gameplay mechanics (well, with one small exception). They’re interesting, they’re difficult, graphics, music and voice acting are top-notch, – but Aiko’s Choice is still too small to be sold as a standalone game. [Issue#258, p.54]

    Shadow Tactics: Aiko’s Choice manages to be both a welcome expansion for old fans and a surprisingly good place for a new player to jump in. It builds upon Blades of the Shogun in intriguing ways, and even though its challenge and complexity mirrors the later stages of that game, brevity and instructive level design make Aiko’s Choice uniquely placed to showcase what makes tactical stealth games as engrossing as they can be. For a niche genre that’s not exactly known to be welcoming to newcomers, that’s an impressive feat.

    While only six hours long, this is a great addition to the original Shadow Tactics. Varied missions, likeable characters and plenty of tactical puzzles make Aiko's Choice an easy recommendation, especially if you enjoyed the main game and don't expect anything drastically new. Because sometimes 'more of the same' is exactly what we need.

    A valid excuse to return to the beautiful world of Shadow Tactics while providing fresh challenges in vast maps, Aiko’s Choice is an expansion that doesn’t change much from the original but offers a new story and a shorter playtime for those trying Shadow Tactics for the first time. Each level continues to be a satisfying puzzle box to strip apart and overcome.

    After playing through Blades of the Shogun and Desperados 3 I was hyped when I heard about the Stand Alone "Spin Off" Aiko's Choice. I'm justAfter playing through Blades of the Shogun and Desperados 3 I was hyped when I heard about the Stand Alone "Spin Off" Aiko's Choice. I'm just through it and I have to admit- it feels and plays just as wonderfully as the Main Game of 2016. The Sound and Voice Acting is brillant, like a Hollywood Movie just as the game design. Anyways, I wonder whether I became better or that this game is less difficult than the others as I also (re)played it on hard mode? It's indeed shorter but for that it's well priced. Without any spoilers- it's also moving :')
    I'd buy anything Mimimi brings out. Thanks for another amazing game, you people ROCK!    … Expand

    In the original shadow tactics (original) I actually got stuck in a few missions. And each mission would take a very long time to complete. This one was much easier. Didn't get stuck. Finished every mission within 45 minutes X 5 missions.

    The last mission, 6th mission, is actually an Epilogue. You run around and interact with characters.

    In this expansion I noticed that in every mission I used all characters equally.

    Overall I absolutely loved it and I would give both games a rating of 10.    … Expand

Tres nuevas misiones con un par deShadow Tactics: Aiko's Choice sin duda gustará a los que nos quedamos con ganas de más Shadow Tactics. Tres nuevas misiones con un par de miniescenas adicionales que cuentan una historia entretenida. Pocas novedades en jugabilidad, eso si, y si (como yo) te acabas de terminar el juego base probablemente te parezcan un poco fáciles, después del pico de dificultad de las últimas misiones del básico. Pero, aún con todo, es una expansión que vale la pena. Eso si, probablemente no a precio completo, 20 € por tres misiones a mi personalmente me parece caro. Un 6.… Expand

There is no match to Desperados - Dead or Alive from 2001. It seems the developers are very lazy to do new things. I would like to see more variety in how you play the game not just 3 plans on how to take down each enemy. After couple of minutes of game play you notice exactly how lazy the game feels.
