I absolutely loved Slime Rancher, from the colourful start to the bittersweet ending that literally had me sobbing—something that is quite hard for video games to achieve.
Slime Rancher oozes personality and style, being a clear labour of love. It comes highly recommended and is sure to please young and old alike.

Slime Rancher is a perfect game. The lore and story is heart jerking, the graphics are beautiful and the slimes, the slimes are the most cute, joyful, charming, delightful and adorable creatures to ever exist. I have 100's of hours, no 1,000's and every day I gain more hours played. I. Will. Never. Stop.

Slime Rancher has the ability to keep you hooked for hours; I often looked out over my ranch, felt pride at my accomplishments, and eagerly ventured back into the wilderness to see what other strange things I could find.
Relaxing and relaxed, Slime Rancher is a funny "adventurous manager" with rather atypical traits.
Slime Rancher successfully taps into the addictive nature of farming simulators, while managing to make the gameplay loop more engaging and instantly rewarding. Seasoned vets of the genre may find some aspects to be lacking, but if you’ve never really found the appeal in maintaining your own virtual farm – this may be the game to change your mind.
If you need more relaxation and laughter in your life, Slime Rancher is the game to choose. [11/2017, p.54]
A slight and repetitive but cute farming game, Slime Rancher doesn't quite reach the heights of its sub-genre.
