With only a few hiccups, Sniper Elite: Contracts finds the fine line between action arcade and sniper simulation. While the story might be forgettable, landing the perfect shot from 500 meters away never stops being awesome.

Some sound and physics shenanigans don’t stop this from being a fun, if occasionally frustrating, game that goes towards redeeming CI Games for the previous game’s missteps.

Contracts is a signal to the world that the Sniper Ghost Warrior franchise is no longer content on being a niche title. It is coming for the stealth big boys.

If you are looking for a good sniping game, Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts could be a good choice for you but, if you hope to find a full-fledged FPS with a worthy plot, the market will be able to offer products of a completely different level.

Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts isn't the prettiest game and certainly not the most accessible, but it's an enjoyable budget title, and worth picking up for fans of stealth-based action.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts launches with a budget-friendly price but still feels undercooked.

Contracts is a good option for hardcore fans of the series, but its flaws make it harder to recommend to a wider audience. It is expected, though, that upcoming patches will make it a much more appealing experience.

    graphics is great
Ai is pretty fine but I played on the deadeye mode
    5 challenging open-world
there's also snipers and rival snipers(for bounty hunt)
the funny moment put 5 trap mines, then let the target step it and boom lol
    and AWESOME BALLISTIC MASK
The Future Is Now Old Man!

I hope they add more challenging open-world maps and new weapons and gadgets in this game

Totally worth for money and you won't regret it.

SGWC offers five large sandboxes, each with five missions, and in these missions you're required to assassinate someone, though sometimes they require the retrieval of some object. It’s a stealth game at heart. So expect a stealth game with gloriously sniper gunplay.

Importantly SGWC really feels tense when you play. Tension is at the heart of a good stealth game, and SGWC has it in spades. SGWC features both singleplayer campaign and multiplayer mode. I'll give this one a BUY so go get you're self a copy you won't regret it..

Generally I bought this game for sniping experience, and I've got much more than wanted. Every next map gave bigger difficulty of shots, every location had many interesting places, and with my way "HS everyone" this game often was simply disgusting, yet satisfying. What was good for me, the game didn't lose in comparison with "Dark Souls" series or Monster Hunter: World in strategic way of clearing objectives. I played those games in a short period of time, and SGW was simply nice puzzle sometimes. Graphics good, too much intestines( but thats my opinion), cutscene after good shot is best.
Disadvantages are in my opinion bugs, like important item disappearing (need to reload game), some challenges are contradictory (so completing every in a single run is a dream), and "skill tree" called development is in many cases like "every idea that comes to your mind". Symmetry is nice, but in case of development ideas should be practical. This is a sniping game, i don't see any purpose in leaving bombs behind me, or making explosions, or sneaking for 5 minutes to be spotted by some camera, or drone and "oh shi#!".
And at the end of the game there's a surprise (on steam there's achievment "finish 24 contracts"), you might be left blank faced.
As I said, for me it was "One man army" experience, and it felt good. Completing game without reading tutorials and thinking about development tree should take around 15 hours, but thats just first try looking into every pixel of the map.
Afterwards I can see many possible development routes for this game, because its pretty realistic in my opinion. Maybe some events like time challenge available for a week with special guns to win?
And some global tests with grades pinned to your account would be nice. Rankings, that's my must have in this game.
    Have fun

NotThe story is awful, the voice acting is mediocre at best but flat out bad at worst, but the gameplay is surprisingly fun. It's very open. Not on a certain scale of MGSV, but still open. Guns feel very impactful leaving behind dismembered enemies and tons of blood, which, the details in that regard are done very well in this game. Better than most modern games. My only main complaint is it's length. This game is only around 8 - 10 hours long. That might not sound too short, but there's only 4 or 5 levels. And you can only do so much on those levels before it gets repetitive. Hopefully SGW:C2 will improve upon this.

With all that out of the way, would I recommend this? Mostly. If you like Sniper Elite, big yes. If you just want a shooter to play for no particular reason, I'd still give it a go. The game is fun, and that's mostly all that matters in some cases. I would not play this for it's story or dialogue however, because it's genuinely awful, especially most of the voice acting. As for the console versions, stay far away from them! They suffer from abysmal performance, visuals, controls, and loading times! It's really bad all around on console! Don't touch those versions!

It really is a crying shame that this franchise has evolved into something that is a shell of what a Sniping game used to be. I've owned every game in this franchise and it has gotten worse with every single installment. The new things that are in this game are on paper great but nothing works. There so many inconsistencies it feels like a joke. If you just want to blast away like your on set for Arnold's Commando it's fine but when you want to sneak around, take long shots and be clever you run face first into a wall over and over. There are 5 missions in the single player campaign.... 5. Enemies are dumb as **** invisible, some are invincible unless you use a .50 cal sniper, Secondary rifles/weapons can't be suppressed so you can't use them, You can't aim your secondary weapons without having a stroke for some reason, chain kills only work half the time, semi-automatic rifles have a firing delay that makes them as slow as bolt-action rifles when firing rapidly, The Checkpoint saving system is triggered by waypoints on the map so you can complete objectives, get away then die and you have to do the entire objective over again because you ran another way out of the place, You do the same **** every mission, Gravity an wind means there's a 5 cm drop on shoots taken from a distance of 20 meters and there is ALWAYS winds above 6 m/s, movement is the slowest and clunkiest it has ever been, Stealthing is so slow and boring you just run past everybody because the AI is retarded, platforming is clunky and not needed when it makes the main character moan like he's being mounted by a donkey every time he grabs a ledge. And mainly the tagging system is the most idiotic I've experienced. You need to equip your binoculars for that and switch between your scope on your rifle and the binoculars..... Why on earth do you need the bino when you can zoom the same in your scope and it is your mask that does the tagging? You are wasting almost hours of swapping between weapons all the time because the binoculars has to do the tagging of enemies witch is a necessity.

There are good parts like the gunplay in general other than pistols only sometimes doing damage, the look of the game is nice and clean, the amount of weapons and gadgets is fine and I like the story and setting of the game. But my gosh is it boring and everything feels like a chore to do. The new challenges is OK to have in the missions/contracts but most of them are so pointless and just means you have to go full Rambo afterwards. This franchise is done. It didn't need to be perfect or eve close but it's taking its mouth so full it's choking on itself.
