  1. Although there is a lack of extras, earning them is worth it, as it's a must to try the Green Goblin throughout the game (he has his own arsenal of moves).
  2. Fans of the previous Spider-Man games will be glad to know that the gameplay mechanics of this title have been tweaked and refined almost the point of perfection.

The ability to zoom out to get a better view of Spidey's surroundings would've been a huge boon to gameplay, especially during stealth missions and melee combat. [July 2002, p.72]

Ultimately, if you've got the choice, it makes more sense to go with the Xbox version.
  5. Great fighting engine, good graphics, great “hey, I’m Spider-man!” feel, great level design, well-detailed city, and a really bad camera.

Although Spider-Man contains no multiplayer options, the game is filled with extras.
  7. Spider-man's gravity-defying stunts really exasperate the engine's inability to consistently provide an optimal view for gameplay. This is quite a shame because Spider-man is a wonderful looking game.
  8. Many of your frustrations with Spider-Man: The Movie will be directly linked to the game's camera, which sometimes seems to take on a life of its own regardless of which camera mode you choose.
  9. An improvement on nearly every level.
  10. It gives you one of those feelings that make you play like crazy until you finish the whole thing.

It doesn't seem quite as good as the first Spider-Man game from Activision. [August 2002, p.74]
  12. It’s just a shame that one of your biggest opponents is the game interface itself.
  13. A faithful adaptation of the video game versions, shining in several places while dragging along in others.

Spiderman is meant to be a console game. It works on the PC, but would just feel better on a console system. I also encountered a few bugs and an occasional crash on the PC.

It's worth it, but only if you have the patience to deal with a control interface that could drive you batty.

This game plays alot like the first Spiderman(2000) or like Spiderman 2 (PC). Despite the great graphics and voice acting thats all this game has to offer, the levels become a little to repetitive and the story has a very akward and cheesy plot all topped with an abrupt ending with a kiss... If only this game were made open world with the graphics it has and with more variaty of missions I would have to say this game would be the best spiderman game ever but I can keep dreaming. Not a bad game but graphics is all it has to offer most of the time. Too bad I cant rate it with a 7.5 rather than a 7 Full Review »

It's a good game for its year, but it was very nice to play the scenes in the movie that can never be shot today.

Demasiado retro para mí, no tengo la paciencia para pasarlo, una disculpa.
