Steel Armor: Blaze of War suffers from lack of decent UI and decent AI, but captures quite well the feeling of actually operating a tank. But Steel Beasts Pro does not lose any sleep over this. [Aug 2015]
Steel Armor: Blaze of War is not too bad a simulation of tank battles, but has a pretty strange AI.
If you're willing to put in a good 5-6 hours learning the foibles of the interface, and then spend the rest of your time with the game wishing it was better, there is something to be said for the setting and the heart of the action that lies beneath. It's just not enough to overwhelm the tide of poor UI decisions that unfortunately sit dominant on top.
A brave attempt to fuse battlefield strategy and tank sim, let down by baffling UI and feature-starved maps.
