One of the best war strategies I have ever played is a great compromise between fidelity to reality and pure entertainment. Besides the monotony of the environment and the small flaws in the user interface, you can’t complain to anything.

Steel Division: Normandy '44 succeeds both at being an entertaining real-time tactics game and a compelling simulation of historical combat, which is a remarkable combination. Not to get ahead of things, but playing this excellent World War II game makes it hard not to get excited about the potential of Steel Division: Stalingrad '42 or Rome '43. Future games or expansions might even smooth out Normandy ‘44’s small drawbacks, specifically its occasionally overwhelming amount of detail and lack of context to its huge number of options, but its successes wildly outweigh its failures.

It’s hard to remember the last time an RTS game gave me both the challenge of careful planning and the thrill of execution at the same time. Those only interested in a single-player affair might come away a little disappointed, but the package itself is very well-rounded and breathes some much-needed life into the genre.

Steel Division: Normandy 44 stole dozens of hours from my life and this trend will continue. It's a pretty good strategy game. The entry threshold is high, difficulty level is even higher and all these frustrations... But you forget about all that because online matches are so damn exciting that you want to play another and another, and another! Eugen Systems succeeded in creating a very good tactical RTS aimed at online gampelay.

While the gameplay can feel rushed sometimes, Steel Division nevertheless is a great game that authentically recreates the World War II conflict and brings some new ideas to the RTS genre.

Steel Division: Normandy ‘44 is a deep and complex wargame, enriched with many details and set in some of the most beautiful maps ever seen in an RTS.

A solidly enjoyable title that has balance issues that need patching but otherwise a good investment for fans of the genre.

I bought the game in beta and the development team really is working on balancing the game out. There are some stronger/weaker units, but their isn't a bias to allies or axis forces.

In a decade where quality rts are rare, this game really stands out. Be it the glorieus fields of normandy, the fluid frontline mechanic...

I really dont like 1v1's or 2v2's, I dont like the competiveness in them. I rather prefer 10vs10, Some will call me noob, but I like to play with decs build around arty, air, or infantry. It lets you play the way u like it. The big collective games also take away a bit off indivudual skill, so their is less pressure to perform well.

10vs10 games really feel big and can get fun, but messy at times. 1 big chaos.

Its deep, graphically beautiful, and plays like a chess game. Building your own divisions is fun, within the set parameters. People who complain about balance issues just don't realize that some divisions just aren't as good as others- you can pick between about ten divisions on either Axis or Allied side and the balance is actually beautiful. I like to pick weaker divisions to challenge myself and spice up the multiplayer matches. Expand

False advertisement on realist data, units and gameplay ,there aren't any respect on real Normandy other than very few instance such as beuteFalse advertisement on realist data, units and gameplay ,there aren't any respect on real Normandy other than very few instance such as beute firefly which is a historical fact. jumbo has better armor than King tiger and about 3 time the armor piecing damage increment from maximum firing range.

Aside from their marketing, the game itself is a mess, demanding load out yet pathetic graphic output not even in 2015 can be tolerable. Network issue every 10 games in US is quite common, music are very repetitive and the game can barely go beyond 50 hours for the price aside for very short campaign with total of 12 extreme similar objective.

Beside false advertisement, this game also has to do with paradox who notorious in dlc ,expensive dlc for very minor game patching, pity that they abandon their generous dlc policy before this BS.the devs put shame on wargame series and might be the final nail on the coffin after AOA debacle.

Some people think it could be wargame:ww2 but this is not wargame nor ww2, only some ww2 theme cosplayers fighting on Normandy.

I won't suggest this to my worst enemy, that will be PUBG or something.
