The organization of the immense database allows both novices and experts to equally enjoy the challenge.
A key problem may simply be that the international system is too hard to replicate under its current condition of relative anarchy.
With the bugs fixed and the gameplay tweaked and polished, Superpower could be pretty decent. At the moment, it's disappointing.
The game's lack of focus, poor design, and beta-like release state will put it not in the forefront of strategy discussion boards, but rather the back of discount software bins.
SuperPower's most entertaining feature is this utter detachment from reality - despite its being touted as hyperrealistic. [July 2002, p.82]
