    While all the core mechanics of a modern tetris game are here, this game has some massive flaws that I'm surprised were not addressed before release.

    The sudden changes in tempo though interesting at first, just come across as lazy and ill-thought out after a few levels.     The sudden changes in tempo though interesting at first, just come across as lazy and ill-thought out after a few levels. Suddenly halving or doubling the tempo comes cross as being incredibly lazy and does very little to add any excitiment to the game. There is also the issue the music being reminiscent of chart fare electronica, which is not going to appeal to large swathes of people.

    Some of the visualisations and brick aesthetics actively hamper your play, leaving you not being able to see what is there in the play feilds or quickly acknowledge what is coming next. Which becomes a massive factor when experienced in unison with the temp changes mentioned earlier.

    There isn't even a restart option in the settings menu, to quickly pick up from your checkpoint. Which is poor design 101, especially in a game that is designed to be intense and frustrating.

    Though enjoyable enough for a short while, there are much better Tetris games available from the last 30 years. I'm just glad it was on Gamepass and I didn't buy it.    … Expand

    Поиграл 20 минут. Разрабы тупо взяли оригинальный тетрис, добавили эффекты и музыку вместе с задним фоном и считают это полноценной игрой. Халтура в чистом виде. Обычный тетрис.

    Offers a truly novel experience. The audiovisual presentation melds serenely with the traditional Tetris gameplay, and, under the right circumstances, delivers the player to the "Tetris Realm". Utterly mesmerizing.

    Tetris Effect: Connected is a masterpiece and one of the best in the Tetris Series. With very good single player modes and great multiplayer modes. It's a easy recommendation to everyone.

    Tetris Effect: Connected is a very eccentric yet charming game that could be a better relaxing past time than any other game recently released today. With music aligning to your every move and the experience intensifying as you continue on in the game is truly meditative.

    Being the definitive edition including multiplayer, the game has a very unique way to portray multiplayer as it both includes both co-op and PvP gameplay which also plays a very huge role in the game's definitive edition. The uniqueness of the game's approach in multiplayer such as merging Tetris boards and zone-inducing games are already satisfying to have me score this a perfect 10.

    Its gameplay still retains the modern Tetris feel but with new implementations and one-of-a-kind multiplayer, Tetris Effect: Connected is very deserving of a 10 and it is definitely a buy.    … Expand

Tetris Effect: Connected contains the original (and fantastic) single-player campaign as well as multiple relaxing yet exciting multiplayer modes. This game is much more of an experience then most Tetris games, and the music and sounds are reactive; Get a Tetris, advance the song and visuals. As you play, the music, sounds, andThis game is, to put it lightly, absolutely jaw-dropping. This game is much more of an experience then most Tetris games, and the music and sounds are reactive; Get a Tetris, advance the song and visuals. As you play, the music, sounds, and background evolve, slowly becoming something complete and beautiful. Even $40 is a bit steep, I wholeheartedly believe that every penny is worth it, and I would highly recommend this game. (Besides that, it's on Game Pass, so what excuse do you have to NOT be playing this?)… Expand

    This is one of the best Tetris games I've ever played so far, the visuals are nice, and the Single Player Campaign is pretty good.

The gameplay feels like you are a DJ mastering the music by playing Tetris, it’s a very satisfying feeling manipulating and putting together blocks with the rhythm of the music and an insane visual background reacting to it. The game challenges you, sometimes make you restart and try over and over again. But also have moments of calm that you can relax and just enjoy the game. It’s kind therapeutic. But be aware, you will be seeing these block falling off every time you close your eyes by the rest of your day. I loved “Lumines”, and Tetris effect bring me back that same good vibe but now with Tetris.… Expand

    The game is very good, I highly recommend it, from the pros: excellent soundtrack, excellent game design, each level is made cool. of the cons: there is no online to find an opponent, the match was searched for 10 minutes.

    Music is good, also the graphic. I want much more, but yeaaah.. just fun enough for Tetris series.

    Containing its breathtaking universe it is the classic puzzler with gorgeous effects and unlimited ways to play and more than plenty of levels and modes to experience.
    This game is a fantastic redesign of Tetris this should be the new industry standard for all puzzle games. If there could be a level    There is a moment of time when design becomes so defined that it becomes divinity.

    This game is a fantastic redesign of Tetris this should be the new industry standard for all puzzle games. If there could be a level designer to mix your own effects, music and tetriminoes style. That would make it an 11/10 in my book.

    People say it to busy to be enjoyed. I am sorry but get the stick out of your . and enjoy the beauty of what it is. The TETRIS made by heaven to be played in heaven.. the game is perfect!    … Expand

    Tetris Effect: Connected is a beautiful game and a great multiplayer-focused refresh of the initial PlayStation 4 game. The visuals are gorgeous and deserve to be experienced in VR. Depending on the display, HDR or SDR colour ranges might not look right until some tweaking is done outside of the game. However, once it clicks this is one of the best puzzle games and definitely a fantastic way to play Tetris in its modern format solo or with others.

    Tetris Effect: Connected is excellent. For many, this is an audio/video experience that is a piece of art and easy to digest because the game is so easy to pick up and play. The various single-player experiences provide something to players who are looking for more than just high scores, and while the multiplayer isn't as frantic as Tetris 99, it is still something that one can return to countless times. Even if you aren't lucky enough to view this in VR, Tetris Effect is still well worth experiencing.

    All in all, I found the new additions introduced in Tetris Effect: Connected to be well worth playing and experiencing. The new Connected mode was an experience with Tetris I’ve never had before and is a must-play for anyone interested in Tetris at all.
