If you like old-school adventures with a modern twist and a lot of humor, stop right here. This book will keep you busy.

An epic tale that reunites some much-loved characters and recreates the magic of good, old-fashioned point-and-click adventuring in a hyper-attractive world, the Book of Unwritten Tales 2 is a must-play for fans of the genre.
  3. Feb 17, 2015
Despite the minor issues, it’s hard to deny that Book of Unwritten Tales 2 has everything I like in a point-and-click adventure: fun puzzles, memorable characters, and plenty of heart.
  4. Mar 23, 2015
The graphics are just as great, the game plays the same way and it’s basically a new adventure with new puzzles to solve, so it is what you would expect from a sequel to a brilliant game.

The sequel revived my faith in point’n’click games by proving that we do not have to settle for run-of-the-mill dialogues and flat characters. King Art is a seriously talented studio that could make a game about a snail crossing the street and still make me laugh regularly. [04/2015, p.54]

When it comes down to it, this is a must-play game for those who enjoy adventure games of this style – but it definitely sticks to the tried-and-true point n’ click genre.
  7. Mar 22, 2015
The Book Of Unwritten Tales 2 proves that point & click adventure games don't have to change to be relevant in 2015. They just have to be better. It's enormous, hilarious, referential, satisfying and absolutely worth £24.99.
  8. Feb 18, 2015
A wonderfully crafted point and click adventure. Production values in texts, screenplay and voice acting are through the roof and playing the game guarantees hours of laughs and fun, but the gameplay is old nonetheless.
  9. Feb 25, 2015
Minor technical problems and a slow start to a story do not change the fact that The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 is worth recommending - a solid and beautiful adventure game.
  10. Mar 5, 2015
It's delicate and fun as a fairy tale, but it doesn't forget how to add solid gameplay elements to the formula.
  11. Mar 2, 2015
But overall, The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 is a nice adventure. It’s friendly and it’s colorful and its puzzles are of moderate difficulty.
  12. Feb 18, 2015
Is The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 worth getting? Definitely! Although it doesn't add much innovation to the series, this game offers a more complex and fine-tuned adventure than its predecessor.
  13. Mar 17, 2015
A game that reminds us why at one point in time, adventure games ruled the earth.
  14. Feb 19, 2015
A lovingly made puzzle laden parody of fantasy games that injects its own unique personality in between the deliberately laid layers of cliché and trope.
  15. Mar 10, 2015
A classic adventure game that doesn´t try anything radical and relies on its great puzzles. In addition, this game is also witty and is not afraid to make fun of more famous competition. It doesn't always succeed, yet it deserves your money.
  16. Feb 17, 2015
An entertaining game, but no revolution of the adventure genre and quite similar to the first game.
  17. Mar 5, 2015
The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 is proof that it's possible to make a great graphic adventure, even in 2015. It's pretty difficult and requires more attention than your average puzzler, but you'll love the art direction, the story and the humour.
  18. Feb 17, 2015
It’s a comforting reminder that video games can still hark back to their traditional roots and produce an enjoyable experience without any overblown live-action trailer or day one DLC. This is a delight to play.
  19. Feb 17, 2015
A sequel that definitely builds upon the promise shown in its predecessor. A great combination of fantasy adventure and comedy.
  20. Feb 23, 2015
If you love point and click adventures, The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 is everything you could possibly want and more.
  21. Feb 18, 2015
The game is a very enjoyable experience and KING Art is to be commended for making some of the most polished games in the genre these days.
  22. Feb 19, 2015
A really good sequel and a great old-school graphic adventure. Graphics are very good, the writing is extremely funny, puzzles are smart and complex, and the game is really long.
  23. Feb 25, 2015
A point & click adventure that is at the same time a great homage to 90's adventures and a step beyond for the genre. If only the game were a little bit more difficult.

One of the best adventure games from the German production and also one of the best games funded from a Kickstarter campaign. King Art Games were totally successful with this one. [Issue#250]
  25. Feb 17, 2015
The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 brings more magic, more fantasy, more puzzles… but… Is it better tan its predecessor? Not really, but it´s not worse, either. If you enjoyed the first game get ready for another rollercoaster of fun.
  26. Feb 11, 2015
The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 is the best representative so far of the modern graphic adventure genre. You will test your brain with hundreds of well thought puzzle while enjoying a very fine and satisfying storytelling.
  27. Feb 18, 2015
A king-size sequel brimming with fun dialogue, charming characters and beautiful visuals. If it weren’t for some pacing issues and the occasional quirky puzzle it would even surpass its predecessor.
  28. Mar 3, 2015
It's larger, more beautiful, more difficult, better in every aspect compared it its predecessor. At the same time, it proves that Kickstarter as well as Steam Early Access can significantly contribute to the very high quality of a game. I don't like being led to hasty conclusions, but via "The Book of Unwritten Tales 2" King Art Games manages to put Daedalic Entertainment, as well as any other developer, in a very difficult position regarding the creation of the best adventure game for 2015. A true masterpiece of its genre.
  29. Feb 22, 2015
With engaging and believable protagonists, whimsical landscapes, and delightful voice acting to complement the shrewd writing, there's little left to nitpick but the mediocre puzzles, predictable plot, and occasional graphical hiccups.
  30. Mar 2, 2015
It's got good puzzles, some of which may be a bit too obtuse, and a very lighthearted overall tone, as well as a ton of wit and some loving pop culture references to enjoy, as well as an interesting storyline to follow.
  31. Feb 18, 2015
One of the best point and click adventure titles to be released, and stands as an example of what the genre has to offer. I would easily place it in the company of revered adventure titles like Grim Fandango or Tales Of Monkey Island, perhaps even surpassing them as it takes what made those titles great and expands upon them.
  32. Feb 20, 2015
This game not only delivers a great sequel, but also a great story and the soul of a genre that has been forgotten for many years.
  33. 80
The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 boasts the same clever puzzle design and appealing world of its predecessor, and does a fine job of upgrading its presentation as well.
  34. Feb 26, 2015
The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 is easily one of the best point-and-click adventure games I have played in recent years.

The last game was incredibly charming and funny to an extend it could even rival with some Lucasarts games. This is no less. A worthyThe last game was incredibly charming and funny to an extend it could even rival with some Lucasarts games. This is no less. A worthy successor and one of the best adventure games I have played. Lots of pop culture and gaming references like in the last game. Absolute must buy if you're into P&C adventure games.
I really hope these games get more recognition.
