With great performance, unofficial mod support, all the DLC, and pretty good controls, The Elder Scrolls V : Skyrim VR is a great buy for VR headset owners. Even if you’ve played hundreds of hours in the pancake version of the game, I think you’ll really enjoy being immersed in the world of Skyrim. It truly is a brand new experience and it along with Fallout 4 are now two of my favorite VR games to play.

For a game that wasn’t originally designed for VR at all, Skyrim VR is nothing short of impressive. This really is the Skyrim that you know and love, but now you can enjoy it like never before with the immersive presence of a VR headset. With a large variety of control schemes to choose from and hundreds of hours of content, this is a game that all RPG fans and lovers of immersive fantasy worlds should play.

Skyrim VR translates one of the most entertaining RPGs of the previous generation to virtual reality with next to no hiccups along the way. Though there are a few minor irritants, the core experience is ludicrously fun and runs like a dream.

There have been made many compromises to get this huge game playable in VR and that shows. The controls and interface do not use the possibilities of VR to the fullest, but other than that it is amazing to walk around in Skyrim in such a real way.

Skyrim VR is an excellent RPG that obviously directly plants down all of the amazing work developing it. Of course, even in VR there are an abundance of user-created mods to enhance the experience. With that said, judging it purely as a virtual reality title, the limitations of trying to deliver a grand RPG of this size crop up a little more clearly than otherwise would be the case.

With mods, this game is gorgeous, and you can trick out just about any aspect of the experience, though the menus and overall object interaction is still very much stuck in the pancake world. Still, there’s nothing quite like standing your ground and taking the fight to the enemy. In VR, I am the Dragonborn, and that’s what virtual Skyrim is all about.

Skyrim is back, in VR and this time on PC. The game is still a great RPG, and the virtual reality adds a true value, even if those controls feel clunky and the graphics look old. Especially when compared to Fallout 4 VR.

Simply stupendous. They put some effort into VR controls and it makes the experience something to behold. Yes, the game is now 7 years oldSimply stupendous. They put some effort into VR controls and it makes the experience something to behold. Yes, the game is now 7 years old and has imperfections. It's hard to describe the delight in holding up your hand and watching your character blast fire into a rapidly approaching Draugr's face. Must own VR game! Expand

But if you ignore **** parts (melee combat) and install some (about 30) mods...
This is one of the greatest experiences in gaming ever.

I look forward to one day playing a game as good as mass effect or Witcher 3 in VR but until that day comes, this is great enough!

when I first picked this game up I was skeptical. Fallout 4 VR was, in my experience, a good try at open world Bethesda VR games but thewhen I first picked this game up I was skeptical. Fallout 4 VR was, in my experience, a good try at open world Bethesda VR games but the incredibally confusing controls and overall ui was off-putting to me. this game however changes that giving players a simple to understand system that gives a unique experience. Skyrim was always a fine game to begin with and still stands as one of the best RPG's ever made but VR is completely different. The feeling of wandering the vast fantasy realm of Skyrim gives the player a feeling of true grandear as you chop steal or blast your way through enemy that are way scarier in VR where the size is now proportionate. I myself chose a magic user as my character and have a great time imitating Palpatine as I shock and manipulate the intake enemies with spells that feel incredible to use. Overall this game has a lot going for it but it isn't flawless as you will get nauseous playing it for to long and of coarse it has glitches (its a Bethesda game so its more funny that anything when the characters don't work right). I give this VR experience a 9/10 for how amazing and fun it is to experience this timeless game in a truly interesting new way. Expand

Works much better than the controls for Fallout 4 VR. As you would expect it's standard Skyrim and is done rather well. The only real flawsWorks much better than the controls for Fallout 4 VR. Not worth £40 for sure but on a sale for half price, yeah pick it up well worth it. Expand
