Excellent stunning game that is equal parts relaxing and mildly mysterious. Terraform a planet by monitoring environmental indicators exclusively or explore wrecks to learn more information about how you got to the planet and what happened to other space farriers. Some work needs to be done on restricting barriers outside of resource zones or indicating what is in play in a more clear manner but given the state of recent games at release, The Planet Crafter is quite polished and runs very smooth all things considered. I'd recommend this game to just about anyone. Expand

My son says it's one of the best games he has played. The game has a heavy focus on exploration and resource gathering. There's a good levelling up mechanic. Graphics are very good, the music is good, the environment is immersive. Another plus is the absence of violence, which makes it kid friendly, and the broadly scientific approach is a learning opportunity. Multiplayer would be nice though.

This game is a gem out of nowhere.
Always something to do, while not becoming boring or overwhelming.
The game has plenty of fun parts, the terraforming keeps you planning for the future and provides a great endorphin hit when you make that next step. Exploration feels like desperate scavenging at first, full of wonder and danger, becoming more relaxed and surprising as you progress

Definitely worth the purchase, especially at the indie price point.
