$10-30 per hour is probably the worst deal I have ever seen in a high-profile video game, and I amazed that THQ put it out with so little substance.
If you're older than 12, you have no business playing this game.

I managed to complete it within 2 hours, and had more continues at the end of the game than I had before I started.
An ugly collection of poorly conceived minigames, The Polar Express is a failure by the standards of any medium.
This half-assed movie tie-in is so crummy even the dimmest kid on the short bus won't be taken in.
A very below-average affair that never really rises to the wonders of its license, riding on its mean-spirited and pointless mini games. Skip this if you want to have a Merry Christmas.
I don't know why this game gets hate. To me, it earns a LOT of nostalgia points. Beside that, the game plays well in my opinion. To me, it's just a memorable game.

Is this game flawless? No, it contains some mediocre mini-games and once we get to the North Pole the game starts to go off the rails. However, the thrill of the Polar Express as a child was captured in this game, at least for me. On the train itself, I found the story and gameplay quite engaging. The rooftop missions are some of my favourites and I still play them to this day. And I have to admit, the soundtrack is really good too.

Is this game perfect? No, it has some lackluster minigames and the game goes a bit off the rails once we reach the North Pole. However, at the same time, at least for me, this game captured the magic of the Polar Express as a kid. The narrative and gameplay I found very interesting on board the train itself, the rooftop missions are one of my favourites and I still replay them to this day. And I gotta be honest, the soundtrack’s pretty ok too!
