With improved exploration mechanics, richly detailed locations and intriguing puzzle design The Room Two surpasses its predecessor in every way. Storytelling is still a weak spot though.

  1. At £4 it’s a really easy decision – get this. It’s fun, spooky, peculiar, unique, and most of all – and I use this word very carefully – interesting. That’s something games too often are not. The Room Two unquestionably is – a properly interesting experience.

The Room 2 is the best type of sequel: same stuff as in original but improved in every aspect. The best part is that levels are now actual rooms rather than just one table. That allows more variety in puzzles and much better atmosphere as well.

The puzzles aren't mind-boggling, what keeps you from progressing is usually that you can't find something.

The price is also ok (5€)

However, I think it´s easier than the first part (even if I need one hour more to finish it). The puzzles are much easier than the previous The Room. Maybe because I was used to the first part puzzles. Anyway, I recommend this videogame because it´s really good, and at least I have to use my brain to finish it. The puzzles are still awesome. Some of the puzzles are still alright and everything is still beautifully designed, but this game has several objects/elements per level, so a good part of the playtime is now spent waiting for camera transitions to end and trying to find things. Also, because the interactable objects are often not highlighted in any way and are just some of the many objects that could be interactable, several times I ended up clicking randomly all around the screen just to find the thing that indeed is interactable. Definitely not as intuitive as the original, and the game as a whole didn't feel as inspired. Expand

This is similar to the first game as it's not so much thinking involved, it's more about finding small hidden details. The third game is better in this aspect.

I'd recommend getting these game on your ipad and play them during a long fight or something instead of playing them on your PC.
